Chapter 12

820 Words
POV Olivia – September 17 I wake up with an enormous headache. With a loud groan, I push myself to sit against the headboard of the bed. Looking around, I find the bed empty apart from myself. I grab my phone from the nightstand to check the time and see it’s already 11 AM. “Why didn’t you wake me up?” I link the twins. Waiting for their response, I shower quickly and get dressed to start the day. I’m almost ready to leave the bathroom when I hear the bedroom door open and Liam's voice calls out to me “Liv? Where are you?” “Bathroom!” I yell back at him. Walking back into the bedroom, I find both my mates in only a pair of gym shorts. Aware of me staring at them, I shake my head and clear my throat. “What’s the agenda for today?” “Nothing!” Lucas says, placing a kiss on my temple “why don’t we go for a run in the forest?” “Can we?” I ask him. “Of course, we can, we’re the alphas. We can take our Luna wherever we want.” “But your mother?” “We’ve already told her you need today to relax and not worrying about your Luna ceremony”, Liam says when he pulls me towards him, out of his brothers’ arms “unless you don’t want to go with us?” I elbow him in the ribs “ouch, what was that for?” “Don’t say that! You know I’d rather go with you two!” I hear Lucas approach behind me. Leaning against my back, he pushes my front even closer to his brother’s chest. His lips find their way to his mark and when he nibs at it, I can’t resist the moan escaping my lips. My head falls back against Lucas’ chest and my knees buckle. Luckily, I’m being held up by Liam. Lucas pulls back, slapping my ass. “Let’s go before I change the plans and decide to spend the day in our bed. And we won’t be sleeping at all”, I gasp at his words, and my eyes meet Liam, who winks at me. As we walk out the packhouse, Liam hands me the backpack he brought downstairs. I yank it on my back while the twins take off their shorts. Liam shifts first, Lucas lifts me up and gently places me on Conner’s back. When I’m settled, Lucas shifts as well and both wolves take off, heading for the forest. Two hours later, Asher and Conner come to a stop. Conner lays down and I hear Lucas’s voice in my head “my turn, love”. I chuckle and hop of Conner’s back before I walk over to Lucas’s wolf, Asher. He lays down so I’m able to climb on his back. “Where are we going boys?” “We’re not telling you. You’ll just have to be a little patient to find out”, Lucas answers me. I don’t know how long we’ve been running, but my muscles are sore and I’m not sure how long I can stay on Asher’s’ back before I fall off. “You’re good up there?” Lucas links me. I shake my head “no, I feel like I’m about to fall off.” Conner, who’s running in front of Asher and me, slows down and matches his pace to that of his twin. This way he’s right beside us, probably worried about me falling. “Just grab Asher’s scruff, within two minutes we’ll be there” he says over mind link. And he’s not lying. Two minutes later, they stop running as we reach a beautiful cabin in the middle of a clearing. Asher lays down so I can get of and the twins shift back to their human form. “Can you give us our shorts? They’re in the backpack”, Liam asks. I give them the shorts. When they’re dressed again, they both grab one of my hands. “Where are we?” I wonder. They both place a kiss on my head, “our secret hideaway”, Lucas whispers in my ear. “Are we really that far away from the packhouse?” I’m a little uncertain about the situation. They told me the forest was dangerous, and now we’re that far away from the packhouse. Far away from help if we need it. “Relax, Liv” Liam chuckles, shaking his head “we’re only 10 minutes' walking distance from the pack borders. We just enjoyed the run.” He lets go of my head and walks up the steps to the cabin “you’re coming in. Or would you rather stay outside?” I shake my head. “No, I want to see what’s inside!”
