(Not) a Looser

"What? He's not here? "Are you sure?" asked Matthew as he stood at attention before his hired bouncers. "We checked around and intimidated the officers to ask about Danny Raphael's arrival, but they said there was no visit from that person today, Boss." One of Matthew's hired men said seriously. Matthew snorted in annoyance. He also thought that the divorce request seemed like a threat. 'It turns out he was just threatening my cousin. Apparently, he dares to play around with the Huxley family; he's already bored with living.' "Boss, maybe he wants to mess with us," said the bald bouncer, Ben, trying to provoke Matthew. Matthew checked his cell phone and tried to call Danny. But it turned out that he didn't have his cousin's husband's cell phone number. "Gosh! I don't have his cell phone number; he is a man of unknown origin and has now left the Huxley family home. Where should I look for him?" Matthew punched the roof of his sports car while grumbling. He was not willing for Danny to go unpunished by the Huxley family; at least, he wanted to see the young man's knuckles broken. "Boss, do we look for the man where the Great Master found him for the first time? Or maybe we can look for him where he usually goes." This time, Chuck, the bouncer with the undercut haircut, started talking. "He came from the streets, and I never wanted to know where he was first found. "There's no way I can find him," Matthew complained, and then turned to his two hired bouncers. "Why don't you try telling your colleagues to find where this man is?" Matthew then sent the two bodyguards a picture of his extended family at Danny and Laura's wedding. The picture of Danny's face was enlarged, and he ordered his men to distribute it to the gang of thugs. Matthew leaned against the car while glancing at his watch and waited for the time to get information on Matthew's whereabouts. "Boss, look, we found the guy!" Chuck approached Matthew again and showed him the message sent by his fellow thugs along with the coordinates. "Let's go now!" Matthew exclaimed without waiting; he had wasted almost thirty minutes on that loser. Matthew promised himself that he would beat Danny up first before dragging the man to his grandmother's presence. "He's wasted my precious time, and it's time for him to pay with his blood and sweat!" muttered Danny as he drove his car towards the coordinates. Matthew drove so fast that he arrived at the coordinates in less than fifteen minutes. The useless man was sitting on the edge of the basketball court, drinking mineral water. In front of him was a worn-out ball, and the surface was starting to become smooth. In a rage, Matthew went straight to Danny, followed by Chuck and Ben. This time, he didn't want to be cordial with Danny, so as he reprimanded him, Matthew splashed a bottle of water in his face. "Huh! "This is how a respectable man of the Huxley family behaves; how disgusting!" Danny exclaimed while combing his straight hair with his fingers. "How dare you comment on me? "Are you tired of living!" raged Matthew as he glared at Danny. "Never mind, I don't want to waste more of my time on you. I will now go to the Majestic Hotel ballroom and meet Grandma. She wants to discuss your affair with Laura and ask you to take care of Choco!" "Oh, that's what she said? "So funny," Danny replied, sitting back down and spinning the basketball with his index finger. "Damn it! ""You're a son-in-law living in the Huxley family; how dare you ignore Grandma's orders!" Matthew exclaimed. Danny chuckled again, then turned to Matthew and said, "I'm not ignoring Grandma's orders, but refusing her request. Now, you better go back there and tell the old lady I'm unwilling to fulfill her orders!" Matthew bit his lip in annoyance and turned to his two bouncers. "Teach him a lesson!" Ben and Chuck nodded, and both of them immediately approached Danny. Ben immediately grabbed Danny's hands while Chuck aimed a fist at the face. Danny glanced over; one corner of his lips turned up, and he looked at them mockingly. The young man had already earned a master's degree in martial arts since he was fifteen years old; an attack like this was just a punch from a beginner that was very easy to read. When the punch was two inches away from his face, he ducked it, and it hit Ben in the jaw. Chuck was shocked, and before the thug could realize what had happened, Danny had already slammed Chuck's body into the court and made a thud. Chuck was speechless; he had never seen such a swift attack and response as Danny's. In all the years, he was a bouncer on the streets. This was the first time he had seen it. "Fool! Don't just stand there! Hurry up and beat him up. Don't you see his body is only half? Your size? "What happened to Ben was just a coincidence!" Matthew ordered. Chuck immediately came to his senses and confirmed what Matthew said. He also saw that Ben had started to get up and was preparing to take an attack position. Chuck nodded. This time, he and Ben started preparing to kick Danny. They planned to attack almost at the same time. When Chuck's kick hit Danny's chest, that's when Ben would kick from behind. As soon as his body staggered forward, Chuck would attack him again. When he fell over, it was Ben's turn to attack, and so on. But what they thought did not match reality. Danny was able to parry Chuck's kick, sending the burly man flying through the air and crashing down ten meters away from where they were. Ben saw this, and his body trembled. "Do you also want to experience the same thing as your friend?" Danny asked mockingly. Ben said nothing as he started walking backward slowly. When he was far enough away from Danny, he ran and helped his partner, then ran away. Danny chuckled and stepped closer to Matthew, who cussed at his two messengers. "What now? "Do you still want me to attend the old lady's birthday party?" Matthew was scared, but he faced Danny with his head held high to maintain his dignity. He quietly picked up the knife hidden under his jacket and pointed the sharp object glistening in the sun's reflection at him. "You think winning against those two cowards is going to scare me? "I'm not afraid of you at all. "To me, you're just a poor loser who deserves to be a footmat!" threatened Matthew with both eyes glaring, and the knife pointed at him. Danny wasn't scared; he just walked up to Matthew and smiled sarcastically. "You're thinking of attacking me with a knife? Do you think you can?" Matthew started swinging the knife quickly, but to Danny, it was just a child's toy. Before the knife even swung at him, Danny slapped Matthew's cheek repeatedly, making his face swollen, and the tip of his lip was bleeding. "This kind of ability makes you so confident to attack me?" Danny asked mockingly. Matthew's breathing raced up and down; this time, his grip on the knife handle began to tremble. Cousin Laura gave him a hateful look. That's when Danny realized something: he had been rash about beating Matthew. 'Matthew is Grandma's favorite grandson; if this old lady finds out what happened to him, the Huxley family will target me more and more. I must do something for them.' "I'll count to five! "If you don't also come with me to see Grandma, then this knife will really stab you!" threatened Matthew again. 'Did Matthew mean what he said? Danny moved closer to Matthew, grabbing his wrist and pushing him this time. The knife in Matthew's hand hit Danny's left breast, and blood slowly seeped from the useless son-in-law's flannel shirt. Matthew gasped; he let go of the knife and fell. That's when Danny clutched his chest and whimpered. "Uuuh!" Danny continued to whimper, and he fell to his knees, and his body lowered more and more. Matthew shook his head; he had no intention of killing Danny. The knife was only used to bully him, but instead, it made his cousin's husband hurt and fall. Boom! Danny's body fell face down, with the knife right next to his face. With no other choice, Matthew immediately ran and got into his car. The young man started the engine in a hurry and left Danny behind. Matthew was gone for almost ten minutes, and that's when Danny woke up. He took a handkerchief from his pocket and a thick plastic bag always in his bag. He carefully held the handle of the knife with the handkerchief and stored it in the plastic before wrapping it in his bloodstained flannel shirt. Danny looked down at his wounded chest. The stab had only left a deeper scratch and was bleeding quite a bit as Danny pressed on it. "You i***t, a kid like you wants to mess with me," Danny sneered and smiled. He had just changed his mind and decided to come to Grandma's birthday party with the knife. "I wonder what you guys will do?" Danny muttered softly.
