7. Maternal Bond

Yeah it's birthday party today, the kids are happy and very excited. It's hard enough to prepare a birthday for only one child, but in Maegan's case she has twins, girl and boy. So it was quite complicated for her to organize this. The house is very well decorated... there're lots of balloons and flowers also there are two different big cakes for the kids, which depended on their taste and choice. For the little boy Edwin, he loves fighting games, for the little girl Edwina it's fairies tales and princesses, those are the themes for each of them, Maegan has opted for the princess decoration, she had bought small crowns for Edwina as well as for the children guests without forgetting the unique magic wand which is ofcourse essential for her little fairy princess ! They will celebrate in a large room inside the house where the buffet and drinks will be. Celebrating 6 years old is also an opportunity to enjoy outdoors too. Maegan had thought about the games and activities outside in the yard, there will be different play areas such as : The slide, inflatable structure, trampoline, giant labyrinth... Everything is ready and waiting for the guests. But at the moment, Aylan is still at the office trying to do his best to be there on time and celebrate with his kids.
A sweet and pleasant music is playing for a relaxing afternoon, the guests started to come around half past three... Finally, Aylan is there. He goes upstairs to get ready before the arrival of the guests. The parents come with their grandchildren. There are many children with the same age as the twins. They are already starting to have fun and enjoy this precious moment. Suddenly, Maegan noticed the arrival of Amanda with her daughter and her parents too. Aylan and Maegan are obliged to give them the same welcome and greet them with joy. They won't do anything that might badly spoil this moment. So, they are forced to play a little game as if nothing had happened. Amanda and Aylan are forced to hold their emotions. Kaisha and Edwina are playing together and they are running around, Edwin is playing with the little boys with swords toys etc…
They are sitting at the table together, the children and adults are apart, eating. At the corner of the courtyard there's a group of friends who are drinking, smoking, discussing and talking among themselves about the Hiller’s family, they say :
– Do the Hiller’s have another daughter ?
– No, I don't think so !
– And what about the one who's a little older ? She looks like Aylan so much.
– Oh no, she's Amanda's daughter, I think.
– Even so, the likeness is so strong, I thought it was their daughter too.
– Not at all ! It's indeed the daughter of this lady over there, dressed in an off-white dress.
– Oh good, and what about her ?
– She’s Amanda Hiller, their cousin.
– I understand better now, it is possible for them to look so similar. I'm talking about this child and Mr. Hiller.
– She's from the same family… Says the old gossip women.
When the time has come to cut the cake, everyone started singing Happy Birthday... They made wishes of happiness, success and wise to the children who did not hesitate to open their presents. There were many presents.
Whenever Aylan's eyes rested on Amanda, he was a little uncomfortable because he vividly remembers the reaction she had the last day and Amanda didn't feel good in front of Aylan either. So far, we can say that the party went well. The only person who didn't come is Tina. So far Maegan still can't reach her, what happen to Tina ?
Everyone had a great time... They drank, they ate, they cut the cake and opened the presents, the children had fun. We can say that this day was very successful. The party is over ! Now everyone is about to go home. Maegan and Aylan took the opportunity to go to rest right after they finished putting the children to bed, as they were very tired and started sleeping even before the party was over.
Amanda is on her way home with her daughter. Sitting in the car, Kaisha looks like she enjoyed this special day too despite her problems, she's even a little happy. Amanda took the opportunity to ask her.
– So how was it ?
– Mom, it was good, I played a lot with the new children, you had seen Edwina ?
– Yeah !
– She's so kind.
– Yes, my darling. I know... I'm glad to see you so happy as before.
She wanted to talk to her about her nightmares but it wasn’t the good moment because her daughter was happy she doesn't want to wake up in her the bad memories then she gives up. Sure, Amanda doesn't really know how to deal with children, even her own daughter. Kaisha approached slowly, she puts her head on her thighs, saying :
"I love you mom"
Since she gave birth to Kaisha, it’s the first time that she has heard those words coming from her... Amanda has been a bad mother these days, she didn't expect that and a drop of tears slipped down her cheeks.
Because of a bad experience in their youth, there are parents who are facing this situation well, there are also others who definitely abandon their children. Whether it is because of a madness of puberty, a rape, an unwanted or unexpected pregnancy... Whether if it’s an extra marital child, or lack of money. Yes ! A bad experience can traumatize the bond that exists between a mother and her children. And it's very difficult to fix for both of them. No matter how traumatized Amanda is, this gesture her daughter Kaisha just made to her, touches her deeply as if it was all she really needed. What is more special than the love that exists between a mother and her child ? Despite the circumstances, the children are not responsible. Once you bring them alive into the world, you owe them love, respect and protection... Otherwise you are killing them deeply.
The Baker or Maegan's parents were very happy about this beautiful day memorable. They had the chance to enjoy and spend some time with their daughter and their grandchildren. It's been months since the old lady Mrs. Baker was sick. She had spent six weeks in the hospital and being lucky enough to be finally reunited with her family again. This moment brought her so much happiness. The Baker had a very brief discussion that evening.
– The marriage of our daughter and Aylan was a good idea.
– For sure, look how they get along. Our daughter and grandchildren are very happy and healthy. You could say that Aylan is a good father and a respectful husband.
– You know, I agree with you. So far, he has only honored our daughter. I am so glad that he has not disappointed us.
– But honey, they were childhood friends… Remember !
– We are lucky...
– So we can say that we have succeeded.
– Ofcourse we are. Says Maegan’s father.
A beautiful week full of success and abundance has just started... A rainy day, where Aylan was awakened by the rumbling of thunderstorms, he turns in his bed. Looking at his wife he realizes how lucky he is to have her by his side. Despite his guilt and all that we can blame him for, Aylan knows that his wife is really indispensable to him. He kisses her tenderly on the forehead just before getting ready to go to work.
Once at the office according to the information which came to him, it seems that business affairs are going to be fruitful this month and also there will be a lot of parties, outings and even a gala… Usually to protect his family and his reputation, Aylan officially goes out in accompany of his wife Maegan. Even if there are people who suspect that he is unfaithful they have no proof. They are just doubts in their heads, for they always see him with his wife so far.
Tina's best friend is visiting her this morning. Long days ago she seemed very depressed and she didn't want to talk about it. She even stops going to work despite her financial needs…
– But wake up ! Her friend tell her.
– Hum…

I'm not going to let you stay in bed all day long. This time you're going to wake up and go outside for some fresh air with me.
– I don't want to.
– But who asked you if you wanted to ??? Her friend asks her. You have to, my dear.
So Tina gets up, she takes a shower then she goes for a walk with her friend… Once walking out, Tina takes a moment to check her phone and that's when she notices the missed calls from the Agency and especially from Mrs. Hiller .
– Oh damn !!! She says…
