JUNE SARAH “Hi, Aunt, can I speak to you for a second?” I asked nervously, tugging at my wooly sweater. “Sure.” She switched off the television and put the throw pillows to the side. I sat down criss-cross-apple-sauce-style. “What’s up?” Despite Mr Bradford’s protestations and obvious dislike of me, Onyx and I were still going to get married as planned. Our wedding was slated for the end of June, the twenty-eighth to be more precise. We decided to speed things up a notch because according to Onyx, we were “stalling.” We also decided to make it a small, intimate, wedding with only close friends and family invited.
