Arrival of Gavin

Chapter 8

Along with Dr. Justin Melendez , Dr. Carys Allen and Dr. Jefferson Bright were working hard to save the patients life, they couldn’t take their hands off, so following Dr. Justin’s instructions, the nurse helped Carys to sip some juice, later Carys thanked the nurse, and looked up on the other side, Dr. Adith was standing with his hands folded over his chest, he asked “Dr. Justin, how is going”?

“Going great, we managed to identify all the burst and clots and stop the bleeding, the brain is functioning, will tell you the rest later, let me finish”

Dr. Adith lifted thumb and replied“ Got it”

When he came out of the OR, he saw his children and Sam waiting outside, the children seems to be a bit anxious. Adith smiled at the twins and said “ Your mom will be out in ten, she is fine, the twins smiled and Thara said “Thank you so much for the timely help uncle, you are very kind, I like you”.

Adith felt extremely happy when his daughter said that she liked him, he hugged the duo and kissed them on their cheeks, he didn’t want to part with them but his fiancée was waiting for him, As she is an artist, she covered her face with a mask and her hair with a stole, her dark eyes looked radiant.

Adith smiled and said “lets go to my office, we’ll leave after Carys comes out'.

Samitha nodded and followed them, she wondered why Adith is so nice to those kids and treated them like his own, she asked “Adith, do you know their mother”

“Yes, Carys was my junior in college, we came to know each other through college music band, she is a very good singer and composer too”.

Oh! I see but still she was not satisfied, she felt that there is something fishy between the kids and Adith.

Now she remembered that Dhruv resembled Adith a lot, except for the colour of the eyes, Dhruv looked exactly like Adith’s childhood photos. This stirred her heart, she had a bad feeling but she didn’t know how to ask nor where to start .

Soon Dhruv’a phone rang, the call was from Gavin Anderson, whom the children called Daddy.

Gavin was a tall and handsome man, he was Molly’s business partner, he lived in London, Dhruv answered the call and informed Gavin that they were in Dr. Adith’s office, Gavin was stunned after hearing the name Adith, he rushed to Adith’s office and found the kids, the kids squealed out of joy and ran towards Gavin.

Gavin held both of them in his wide strong arms and kissed them on their forehead and said babies “ Daddy missed you and your mom how are you guys doing”?

We are good Dad, exclaimed Dhruv, both the kids hugged his neck and were kissing and giggling.

On seeing the three of them, Adith felt distressed he tried control his anger, he pursued his lips and cleared his throat, then Thara saw Adith and said “Daddy, this is uncle Adith, mommy's friend, he is our neighbour, he is good person, he bought dinner for us” .

Oh! is it ? , thank you so much Dr. Adith, I appreciate your kindness” and shook hands with him, Adith was tensed, he felt like an outsider in front of his own children.

Then Dhruv said “ Dad, this is uncle’s fiancée, we had dinner together, she was nice to us, just then Samitha removed her mask to drink some water, Gavin saw Samitha and thought that she looked familiar, Samitha stretched her hand and said “Samitha”, Gavin shook her hand and said “Gavin Anderson” , Nice meeting you, thank you so much for taking care of my kids.

Samitha smiled and shook her head, “its nothing, we just had dinner together, it was Adith who took care of them”.

Gavin sarcastically smiled at Adith and asked Samitha, “are you an artists?”

Before Samitha could reply, Thara exclaimed, she is Sita form the web series which grandma watches.

“Woww Samitha my grandma is great fan of you, can we take a selfi so I can share it with my grandma”

Samitha chuckled and said side, come on and took a selfi with Dhruv and Thara . Meanwhile Gavin’s phone rang, Carys who was out of the OR called him.

Gavin smiled and said my girlfriend is calling, please excuse us and once again thanks for your care! And picked the call

“Hi Honey”

“Hi Gavin, where are you”?

“ At the airport baby” , hearing this the children laughed, Gavin motioned the kids to be quiet and the three entered Carys lounge slowly, Carys just changed to her civil clothes and was taking her bags, Gavin came from behind and slowly kissed her cheeks, Carys was taken a back, she yelped and turn to see who dared to kiss her, on seeing Gavin she hugged him tightly and kissed him back.

The children giggled and said “ Dad, Mom, we are here”

The duo laughed, Carys was embarrassed, she said “Let’s go home”

Sure how was your day? Asked Gavin

Please don’t ask, it was a long day, how about a take away?, I am literally too tired to do anything”

And looked up at Gavin with a doting eyes.

Gavin looked down at his beautiful girlfriend, kissed on her head, I already ordered, lets go.

Gavin held Thara in his left arm and carried their backpacks in his right, Carys held Dhruv’s hands and the four were happily walking out which envied many eyes around.

Adith and Samitha were behind them, Adith felt like he was insane, his mind was clouded with dust.
