DAMIEN I slow my breathing, steady in and out, and watch her. Sky’s golden wolf moves along the edge of the campus forest, her coat catching the light as she runs. Around her neck, a soft green glow swings with every step. I can’t look away. I stay low, hidden, eyes fixed on her. She thinks no one knows about her midweek runs. She’s wrong. I haven’t called her.
