Derrick's POV
Before I hung up on Sophia, the last thing I heard was a sigh. She was scared about what was going to happen today and I couldn't blame her. It was hard to control and even harder to explain.
I threw my cell phone in the corner and walked in deeper into the cave. The full moon was out which meant that any moment from now, I was going to become what I most feared.
I could feel my blood rising as I sat down on the stone at the corner. The cave was dark, just like my soul.
"It's coming".
My vision blurred, my hands began to shake and my beating heart raced against my chest. I could feel myself changing.
I took deep breaths to calm myself but the more I took them, the more chaotic I felt inside of me. As usual, I was soon getting used to it.
