Safeguard
Jessica dangled from the rope on her neck, her feet kicking wildly beneath her as much as the ropes on her ankles would allow. Her lungs burned, desperate for air as she hung there. The edges of her vision began to dim as her chest heaved uselessly. Hot tears stung her eyes, boiling down over her red cheeks. Eyes wide, mouth moving wordlessly, she stared at the lens of the video camera as it watched her die.
And then, suddenly, the rope released. Jessica cried out as she fell roughly to the floor, grunting as she landed on her bottom with her legs splayed out before her, still tied to the rings on the floor.
