Burden of Proof
Allison filed into the crowded courtroom with the rest of the gathered masses who had come to witness the trial. The trial had concluded three days ago. She had thought that the prosecution’s closing argument was great. He had focused on the horrors that Jessica and Allison had been forced to endure inside that dreaded mill. He had painstakingly gone through each piece of evidence that had been presented during the trial, which had taken almost two weeks. When he finally concluded, imploring the jurors to come back with a guilty verdict, Allison had been certain that no juror could possibly come back with any other decision.
