Chapter Nineteen Sidewalk Cafe Allison sat at one of the small outside tables that lined the side of the coffee shop. It was late morning and the sidewalk traffic was light, but she still enjoyed the opportunity to people watch that she was provided. She took a sip of her cappuccino, feeling the tickle of the soft foam against her upper lip before she licked it away. Stretching out her legs beneath the table, she leaned back in the chair and let her head fall back to feel the warm rays of the sun against her face. Even after the months since her escape, Allison found herself taking an inordinate amount of pleasure in even the simplest actions.
