A Friend in Need
Allison watched, nervously, as Jessica walked up the stairs onto her father’s porch. Sitting in the coffee shop, the plan had seemed like a viable one. Jessica had been so confident of how her father would react.
“But what’s the point?” Allison had asked her. “Even if he admits it, you can’t have them bring him up on charges again. He already got his trial.”
“The point is that I need to know,” Jessica had told her.
“But why?”
