CHAPTER 2

TREVOR'S POV I paced round my office constantly grining my jaw furiously stroking my beard. All the while I had been thinking hard of the client I was to meet but the sight of my PA's uncovered body kept cutting through my thoughts. How long had she been doing that?Getting hammered on my desk with her juices trickling on it. I had been trying to ignore the smell of s*x that had been irking my nose but I couldn't take it any longer. I dashed from my office and headed for my secretary's desk. Tapping my hands on her desk impatiently as I leaned forward,"get me Mary to clean up my office." "Sir she's just from cleaning it a while ago,she didn't clean well?" Not waiting for her to question me any longer,"Just, just get her to clean it.Again!" I said before stroding away leaving her baffled at my way of talk. Everybody who worked for me knew I was a very soft spoken person and would never mistreat anyone despite being the boss of the company. As I advanced the boardroom it dawned on my that I had been too hash on her for another's mistake.I felt the urge to go back to her and give my apologise but I was still too pissed for that. The boardroom was the only place I would be able to be alone as my office was getting cleaned so I decided to hang there for a while. At least until I cooled off. When I made my way in,I breathed a sigh of relief after not meeting anyone on my way. They would have seen the other side of me just like Penny,my secretary. After around thirty minutes I had managed to calm myself down.I was not going to allow an uncultured being like Jules to spoil the rest of my day. The client was set to arrive half an hour later,I realised as I peeped on my wrist watch. I pushed myslef up from the swivel chair I had been rotating on for the thirsty minutes I had been there and moved out of the room. From I distance I caught sight of Penny looking down on her computer and I instantly remembered how arrogant I had been. To apologise or not to apologise? My mind was so indecisive. I gave a slight nod and a quick warm smile as I walked passed her.She in turn gave a small smile and I felt at ease. I totally sucked at apologies and I know how awkward it would have turned out. Before reaching the front of my office I instantly took a sharp twirl as I remembered something. "Hi Penny,"I decided to start the conversation this way when I saw her wearing a scared expression as I walked towards her. "Hi Mr.Trevor,"she attempted to smile. "Please email Jules and let her know she will no longer be working with us.Let her know that she will be paid for the number of days she worked in this month." I had thoroughly thought through this as I sat at the boardroom. She was the best PA i had ever had.She took all instructions just as given so this was one of the hardest decisions I had to make. But of all things, I value respect. If she couldn't respect me enough or even at least herself then I couldn't have her working for me.She had to go.And I needed to find her replacement as soon as possible. Running a company that had about two thousand employees was quite a task and I couldn't do without a PA. "Then as soon as you're done with that,I need you to ensure advertisements are put up on our website, newspapers, just everywhere, for a new PA.I need one as soon as tomorrow if possible,"I added before going to my office to settle in. My fingers were clasped beneath my chin as I nervously waited for my client. He was the spokesman of the country's leading communication company,Safaricom. The company was quite reknown and therefore any company would like to work with them.I had to get my words right.I had to know the exact things to say to ensure they're always coming back. My thoughts were abruplty fluttered by a knock on the door,"Sir,he's here.Should I see him in?" "Yeah sure.Right way,"I said before gulping and shifting on my seat nervously. Tension was eating up my insides but I tried to look as relaxed as possible.I was not going to let Fazul beware of how much he intimidated me. Soon enough he was walking past the door with his big round belly leading the way.Just by his walk you could tell how much he was full of himself. Even before I allowed him to seat,he had already made himslef comfortable on the other side of my desk. His nerve pissed me.And if given the chance I would put him in his place. But I had to swallow my ego for the company. We were in dire need of their money. The company was in a huge debt. "Hello Mr.Fazul,"I rose from my chair and stretched my hand to his,"how are you doing this fine morning?" "I'm doing good. The fineness of this morning will be determined at the end of this meeting,I suppose,"he chuckled sarcastically. I grinned on my jaw before laughing along.I hated the fact that I to do things as if he was my puppet ruler. "So I think we go straight to why we're having this meeting,"I flashed a forced smile.Truth is I wanted him off my sight as soon as possible.I needed to get this over and done with. "Yeah right.I am quite a busy man you know.I have so many places to be,"he smirked. As if he knew what the term busy meant.I was the company's CEO.If anyone was to talk of busy,it should be me. "Yeah, you definitely are.Your type of work is one hell of a demanding one,"I hoped he didn't sense the sarcasim in my statement. "Every year we set aside six hundred million dollars just for advertising and if we're to give away such an amount,it needs to be put to good use. That's not little money,"he did that stupid thing he does with his eyebrows. "Yes and we never fail you.We have the best online influencers and our billboards are everywhere countrywide. And we also ensure to attract the most viewed tv stations. We never fail,we are not bound to fail you this time. We've got you,"I tried to be as convincing as I could. "Three months contract.A three-month contract is all we'll give.If by then our sales don't improve,we terminate the contract,"he threatened, rising to his feet clearly not wanting to debate on it.It was a take it or leave it proposal. I had no choice but to ensure we're up to task for the coming three months.Money received from them paid nearly 70% of my employees. Standing on my feet when I realised I had no say in this,I stretched my hand once again,"you're company's wish is our command." "It better be,"he rudely remarked before heading out.
