Four

Rebecka POV: 

I take the small cup from the tray and empty it in my mouth. The pills leaves a bitter taste on my tounge but I force them down with the cold water. Lisa smiles at me and I timidly smile back. 

    "Move." A deep, rough voice barks out from behind me. I jump and quickly move away from the big man. Lisa glares at him but he just grins and takes his pills. He stops in front of me and takes a hold on my chin to raise my head so I look into his eyes. "See you at breakfast Rebecka." 

    "Leave her alone Brian. Let her go." Lisa says. He looses his hold on my face and stroke my chin with the back of his hand. 

    "Such smooth skin..." He says with admiration in his voice. 

    "Brian! Hands of, now." Lisa says and Jacob, another nurse, comes out from the nurses office. 

    "You heard her Brian. Leave her alone." He says and Brian raises his hands in surrender. His cold grey eyes bore into me and I feel cold to the bone. 

    "Sorry. I'm not so good with this 'see but don't touch' thing." He tries to joke and a shiver goes down my spine. He turns around and walks away. Lisa looks worriedly at me while I rub my hand against my arm. 

    "Can I please get something for my headache too?" I ask in a low voice. 

    "Sure Rebecka." She hands me the pills and some water.

    "I couldn't sleep last night. I think I might skip breakfast and try to get some rest instead." I keep my eyes on the floor and bite my lip. 

    "You should eat something Rebecka." Jacob says sternly and I feel myself become tense at his tone. 

    "I eat later, I promise. I just want to sleep for a while." I force myself to look at him and I see nothing but pity in his eyes. 

    "Okay, I will come and check up on you later. And you have to eat something." He sighs and runs his hand through his hair.    

    "I will." I nod. "I promise." He steps out of my way and I hurry in to my room. I close the door behind me and lean on it. 

    "Stella? Are you there?" 

    "I'm here, but I'm so tired." She says with a weak voice. 

    "Me too. I just want to lay in bed through the whole day." 

    "He touched us in that bed." She says and I stare at the bed. I feel anger start to build up inside me and I walk up to the bed and rip the sheets away. I put in new, clean sheets and step into the shower and wash myself until I finally feel clean. Satisfied I climb into bed and although it is really uncomfortable I soon fall into a deep sleep. 

Jake POV: 

She was here just minutes ago. Her scent is so strong that it takes out every other smell in here. I see Adam search for her. His eyes darting to and fro to catch a glimpse of her. I begin walking through the corridor with Adam hot on my heels. I know he can feel her. He can probably smell her too but he trust me to lead him straight to her. The walls are painted in a dark green colour. It is said that green has a calming effect on the mind. I wonder if Adam can see the ugly green walls. His mind seems nowhere near calm. I take a right into a small corridor and stop outside the first door on the right. She is in here. I look back at Adam and see his nostrils flare with every deep breath he takes. He stares at her door and his hands are curled into tight fists. I raise my hand and knock. No sound comes from her room and I reach for the doorknob.

    "Stop! You can't go in there." We turn around and see a little woman with wild blond curls and piercing blue eyes come towards us. My mind goes blank at the sight of her. She is amazing. I sniff the air but I don't catch a scent from her.

    "Why not?" Adam growls and she doesn't even flinch. 

    "She is sleeping. She had a long night and she needs to rest." She crosses her arms over her chest. 

    "Why? What happened?" I ask and she looks at me. 

    "I can't tell you that." 

    "Bullshit. Why can't I see my..." 

    "Adam!" My moms voice makes Adam stop and I put my hand on his shoulder.

    "Relax Adam, you will see her. Don't you want what's best for her? She needs to rest. At least now we know where she is."  I say through the mindlink and Adam only nods.

    "Sorry Lisa. This is my son Jake and his friend Adam. They are here to see Rebecka but I heard she had a rough night. Maybe we should talk in the office?" Mom says with a pointed look at me. I nod and drag Adam with me after them. I focus my hearing until I can make out her rhythmic breaths. 

    "I hear her Adam, she is asleep and deep too."  I mindlink him.

    "Don't loose her Jake. I want to know immediatly when she is awake. And sometimes your sences are a gift."  I scoff. 

    "That is the first time I hear that from you." 

    "And the last."  He gives me a look over his shoulder and glances longingly at her door. As Lisa leads us through the corridors we pass several men that glares at us. One big man comes up and stands in front of us. 

    "Brian, step out of the way." Lisa says with a stern voice. 

    "Are they visitors or some new friends?" He asks. His smile is evil and he measures us. 

    "That is none of your concern. Now let us through." 

    "They are here for her. Aren't they?" His eyes is full of hate and he clenches his fists."They are going to take her away from me." I feel Adam tense up beside me. 

    "She is not yours Brian. Do I have to remind you that you were tied to the beltbed just yesterday. Do we have to do it again?" Mom says with a cold voice. Brian grunts but moves out of the way. We go in to the office and my mom and Lisa sits down by the desk. "Tell us Lisa, what happened last night?" Mom says and massages her temples. Lisa looks hesitantly towards Adam and me. "It's okay, they are..."

    "Oh I know that the big bad Alpha is her mate." Lisa says and my moms jaw drop. 

    "How do you know that? How do you know any of this?!" She says and waves her hands in the air. 

    "Monica calm down. I know beacuse... I am one too. I left my pack several years ago. I've been hiding and I feel like now is the time to come out." Lisa says and I can't take my eyes of her. Her cheeks is a light pink and she looks down on her hands that restlessly fumbles with her keys. 

    "How could you hide?" I ask and she lifts her eyes to mine. My heart beats harder and picks up pace. Is she my mate? Why can't I smell her scent? 

    "I masked my scent." She says in a low voice. 

    "Don't" I command. "Don't mask it." 

    "You know what will happen if I don't" She looks nervously at my mom and Adam. 

    "Let it out and tell us what happened to Rebecka." Adam says and Lisa sighs. 

    "Fine." She closes her eyes and immediatly I feel this amazing scent of chocolate and oranges. I feel my eyes turn to gold and my wolf tries to take controll.

    "Mine" I growl and Lisa nods. 

    "Yes, I'm yours." She says with a faint smile.

    "You have so much explaining to do." My mom says but she can't keep the smile from spreading on her lips. Lisa gets up and walk over to me. She takes my hand in hers and kiss my hand.

    "I'm sorry Jake." I am speechless. How long has she known that I'm her mate? My thoughts are interrupted by Adams deep voice.

    "I'm really happy for you guys. Now, can you please tell me what happened to my mate last night?"
