Unexpected union

Chapter 6

Rory's pov :

I'm walking around in the garden and smelling the intoxicating scent of the flowers. I make my way to the path that led to the pond as if I had walked it a million times when I hear the snap of a twick behind me. I turn my head to look around but can't see a think. I make my way to the swing and seat down on the seat. I let the silence of and peacefulness of the place lull me to sleep. I was so lost in the peacefulness of the place that I didn't hear the movement behind me until someone cleared their throat. 

I turn around and look into the familiar eyes of my mom. "Hello princess. " she says. 

"Hey mom. " I say. 

"Are you ready to wake up?" she asks. 

"I'm awake. Aren't I? " I ask, the confusion clear in my voice. "No princess, you are not. "

"What do you mean?  I'm confused mom. "

"You'll find out soon enough. " she says as she stands and walks away. "Mom." I call after her but she keeps walking. "Mom? " I say, but she keeps walking and never turns around. 

"MOM!" I call again but she still doesn't reply as she keeps walking into the forest. I want to run after her but my feet seems clued to the ground. I watch as she completely disappears into the forest. 

I wake with a start. It takes a moment for me to realize I'm in my room. Suzie comes rushing in and gets on the bed. "Sweetheart, are you OK? I heard you screaming. " she says. 

"Yeah. I'm good. " I reply. 

"Are you sure? " she asked. I contemplated lying but decided against it. "I just had a dream about mom. That's all. " I said. 

"OK then. Do you need anything? "

"No, I'm good. " 

"OK good night. "she says as she walks out the door. "Good night. "

The next morning I wake up with a terrible headache. I decide to skip my training and sleep in for a while. I wake up again when Suzie comes knocking on my door. "Come in. " I say. 

"Hey sweetie. Are you OK? " she says as she walks to where I'm sleeping. 

"I'm good. I just have a minor headache ." I said. 

"Oh honey. Do you want to sleep in today? " she asked . I was going to go with the idea but decided against it ."No. I'll be fine."

"OK. Go get ready for school so you don't get late. "

"OK. " I say as I make my way to the bathroom. I decide to keep my shower short this time. After I'm done I make my to the walk in closet and gets some clothes. I put on my school uniform, I let my hair down in waves just past my shoulder. I grab my bag and make my way downstairs .

As I neared the kitchen I hear Mathew and Suzi talking in whispers. The only thing I could make out is Mathew telling her that it was time. Time for what I didn't know. They continued to argue but I could really make out what they were saying. I guess they were carefully about me overhearing them.

I decided to go in since I could hear much of what they were saying. I purposely make noises with my shoes so that they could hear me approach. "Good morning. " I said as I walked into the room. 

"Morning. " they said in unison. "Are you OK?  Suzie says you have a headache? " asks Mathew. 

"I'm good. It's just a minor headache. "

"OK sweetie. " he said as he walked over to me to give me a kiss on my forehead. 

"Alright. I gotta go to school. See you later." I said as I made my way to the door. 

"Be careful. " Suzie calls out to me like she always does. 

"Always am. " I say as I make my way to my car and drive to school. 

The day goes by without a glitch, well mostly because I zoned out in all my classes. The headache didn't subside. In fact it got worse every time someone near me said something. I was so grateful when the last bell of the day rang. As I made my way to my car, the feeling of being watched that overcame me. I looked around but the parking space was full of students. No one seemed out of the ordinary. I just shrugged it off as the effect of the headache and drove home. When I got home the headache had intensified. I couldn't move my muscles. I was in too much pain to walk up to my room so I passed out on the couch.
