Unexpected union

Chapter 1

Rory's P. O. V 

Eight years old 

"Once upon a time there lived a king who was very lonely. Even with all the riches in the world he still felt alone. " said my mom. 

"Why Was he lonely mommy? " I asked. 

"He didn't have his soul mate. With his special powers, he set out to find her. After  searching for so long he finally found her. He was really happy that he finally found his queen. He threw a party to celebrate their union with his friends and family. People came from all over the world to celebrate with them.  But there were some really bad people who weren't happy for them. "

"But why mommy? "

"Well because the queen also has special powers and they wanted her powers. The king and queen got married and had a baby girl. After the baby was born the bad guys wanted to take her. But the king and queen and their warriors  fought very hard to save her. "

"Did they win?  Did they? " 

"Unfortunately they didn't win. The bad guys were too many for them. The king and queen died saving the princess." I let out a small gasp and asked "Then what happened to the princess? "

"Before she died, the queen told her sister to run far  away with the princess so she can be safe. She told her to only go back when the princess is ready to fight the bad guys. "

" What happened to the warriors then?  "

"The warriors went into hiding and prepared for the return of the princess ."

"And the princess, did she go back? "

"Not yet. Some people think that she is never coming back. Some say that she is still preparing herself."

"What do you think mommy? "

"I think that she's still in a slumber and doesn't know who she is. But the time will come for her to wake up. "

"Cool. "

"Alright munchkin. It's time to sleep. " she said as she got up from the bed and tucked me in."

"OK mommy. Thank you for the story. "

"You are welcome. Goodnight princess. I love you. " She said as she leaned forward to give me a kiss on my forehead. 

"Good night mommy. I love you too. " I said as I drifted off to sleep. She walked towards the door and switched off the lights. She opened the door and walked out. Before she could close it she said "You'll wake up soon princess. It's time."
