chapter 9 - Unexpected Tattoo

Raven's POV......

Morning came way to fast. I was extremely comfortable and didn't want to wake up. But I was becoming restless due to a weird pain on my hand. It was a burning pain, as if someone was carving into my skin. Damn it, just a moment ago I was in a blissful sleep after a wonderful night with Blake and now it feels like the skin on my hand is melting off. I shot up out of bed while screaming in agony, knocking Blake out of bed. He looks at me worried.

Raven, what's wrong? He asked very concerned.

My hand feels like it's burning, I don't know what's going on blake. "Help".

Blake runs to get ice, I tried to cool my hand down by putting it under cold water. But it doesn't help at all. I'm drenched in sweat due to the pain. If cold water is not helping then I f*****g doubt ice will do anything.

"Blake", I screamed.

Hold on Raven, he yells while barging through the door.

He put ice on my hand, but like I said I doubt it will help. And I was right.

It's not helping Blake.

After an hour the pain finally starts to die down. I remove the ice from to check my hand for marks. And what I saw left me utterly speechless.

While I'm staring at my hand I hear Blake muttering f**k this hurts. I look over in his direction to see him shaking his hand and grabbing it in the same spot where my hand was hurting. "What the f**k", I say. I grab the ice and put it on his hand like he did for me.

Blake the pain should stop soon if it's anything like what just happened to me.

He glances at me then back to his hand and sighs. I can tell he's holding back about how much it hurts. Trying to be tough. I shake my head and look back at my hand. There's no red marks, no burns, no scratches, nothing at all besides a glowing tattoo is now embedded in my skin. It's half a heart with tribal lines that loop around the heart and forms into a letter. The letter B. It's beautiful, but why do I have a glowing tattoo all the sudden? I'm so confused.

After a while Blake was in less pain then before. He removed the ice from his hand. And from his expression I can tell he was shocked. Did he have a tattoo as well? I mean he already has tattoos covering his body, his chest, back and arms. But does he have a new one on his hand like me. He looked up at me then back to his hand then at me again while walking towards me. He showed me his hand while looking at mine. His tattoo looked just like mine but instead of the letter B he had the letter R and when we put our hands together it formed a complete heart. I had no words for what happened, None.

Blake what does this mean? Why did this happen. Why do we have each other's initials tattooed on our hand? How did we both get the same tattoo?

Raven I have no idea. I can call my parents and ask them if they know anything about what just happened. They are probably the only people that I can think of that would know, besides the..... you know what I'll call my parents now and ask them.

That was weird, I knew he was gonna say someone else but he didn't say who. Bur I can't think about that right now. I'll ask him later.

I hope they know something or anything about what just happened, I said.

Blake's POV.....

Hopefully my parents know whats going on. I vaguely remember them telling me something about matching tattoos but I was young when they told me the story so I don't remember exactly what they told me. I just hope it's nothing bad.

"Come on answer your phone mom".

"MOM". Blake, is everything OK, what happened?

Mom, do you know anything about glowing matching tattoos that just suddenly appear, I ask her.

Who has glowing matching tattoos? She asked.

This morning a tattoo started to appear on Raven and then one on me and hour later. What does it mean, how did it happen, why did it happen?

She was silent for a minute before responding. Mom, what I it?

Ok Blake I'm gonna ask you a personal question and just be honest, okay.

"Ok".

Did you and Raven have s*x? And did either of you say I love you?

I was a bit shocked by her question and confused. Why did that matter, how was it connected to the tattoos.

Yes mom we did, and I said I love you to Raven but she was asleep already and most likely didn't hear me. But what does that have to do with the tattoos?

What do that tattoos look like? She asked.

They are half hearts with tribal around them and mine has the letter R intertwined in the tribal lines and hers is the same but with a B intertwined in the tribal lines.

I heard her gasp in shock. I don't know weather it was a good gasp or a bad one since she was silent for what seemed like forever.

Mom, what's wrong? Are we going to be OK? I was worries now. Until she finally answered my questions. And what she said next made my heart skip.

Oh honey, nothing is wrong. You two are going to be OK. So what do that tattoos mean?

It's means she is your sole mate Blake. You two are meant to be together. Oh my god, I have a daughter.

She said with such joy. But Raven and I aren't married. We barely know each other.

Mom what do you mean?

She is your other half, after you confessed your love to her that tattoos symbolizes that she is your other half. You two are meant to be together and meant for greatness. She continue to explain everything.

How am I gonna explain this to Raven. Even though I'm extremely happy about it I don't know how she will feel.
