Chapter 11: The "wait".

Haru's Point of View

Haru reached his class after dropping off Rin near her class. After he found a seat and sat down, the lecturer entered the class. She started teaching and Haru took out his book to take notes. However, Haru could not focus on the lecture. He wanted the class to get over as soon as possible.

The time he had spent with Rin during lunch seemed to go extremely fast but the one and half hour class right now did not. Haru felt like the time was going so slow.

"Maybe that is what happens when you want to see someone precious to you. How I want to skip this class but since Rin is taking her class, I would just still be waiting somewhere and wasting my time. It would be better to stay and get marked as present" Haru thought.

In the meantime, Haru got a message from his mother. It said "Come home by 4 pm. Your father's relatives are coming over."

It has been a while since he had met them and he was sure that his father would be angry if he did not come on time.

He replied to his mother "Okay mom" and turned off his phone.

He knew that people who have used visions are called vision-holders but no one from his father's side has told him everything there is to know about it.

He wondered if his grandfather was going to visit them. He used to be close with him so it would be easier to ask about the vision and also the strange force that he felt in the morning.

He was lost in these thoughts and did not notice that almost an hour had passed. The lecturer gave them a short break of five minutes.

At this time, Haru called his mother and asked "Will Grandpa be coming?"

From the other side of the phone call, his mother replied "Yes sweetie. He is coming too."

Haru said, "Okay mom, thanks" and ended the phone call.

He checked the time. It was 2:00 pm. A smile made its way onto his face. He will be seeing Rin soon and wished these thirty minutes go by fast.

The lecturer started the class again and this time, thirty minutes flew by pretty fast.

Rin's Point of View

There were around thirty minutes left until her class got over and would meet Haru again. Rin was not able to focus on her class for the past hour and still could not do it. Her thoughts always wandered off towards Haru. There was one thing she did not understand. She could not say "No" to him. After her classes got over, she had other plans of her own, but she could not tell him that she can not come. She figured that since she did not receive any unpleasant vibes from him, it should be fine. However, she did not want any attachments and prepared herself to say "No" next time. By this time, it was 2:30 pm. She took a deep breath and put her things into her bag. Taking her time, she slowly got up and started walking out of the classroom and to the college gate. She reached the area where she parked her car and got in. She started her car and drove towards the isolated place. As soon as she reached there, she could see his car. Haru was leaning on his car. Rin parked her car near his and got out. As Rin walked towards him, she noticed that Haru was fiddling with his lighter.

Haru looked at her and said, "Want to smoke? I was waiting for you."

Rin mumbled a yes while her heart was beating fast.
