It seemed that the BOD should have just scolded Linda.
Olivia was the first to leave work in the entire department.
When the alarm clock for the end of work rang, she didn't hesitate to turn off her computer.
The elevator room was vivacious today. Workplace gossip has always been a hot topic. It had only just gotten off work, and news in the marketing department was spreading throughout the company.
"BOD and Vice Chairman Lean are very angry today. Have you heard about it?"
"That's true. I'm in the secretary's office and could hear Lean's roar."
"Poor Linda. She was my teacher during my orientation training, and I like her."
"Lean slammed the contract on Linda's face in front of so many people at the meeting and said many dirty words to her. I really think Lean did a little too much."
"I agree. Linda has already said she is willing to resign and go to make up for the loss of over seven million dollars. Lean still wanted to block her in the industry. This is also too much. If our company really blocks Linda, what other company will dare to continue giving her a job in the future?"
"Seven million dollars!!How can Linda pay it back? She just bought a new house this year. Even if she sells it, it won't be enough."
Olivia stood in the corner, listening to their discussion. She became even more annoyed with Vice Director Lean.
Speaking about Lean, things had to start with his son, Ethan. As the deputy director of the game division, Ethan had long been interested in Olivia, who had just entered the workplace. Relying on his father, the vice chairman of the board of directors, Ethan often used business trips as an excuse to find time to spend alone with Olivia.
Olivia, of course, knew Ethan's true purpose. So she refused to go on business trips every time because she was sick.
The more times she refused, the more Ethan became disgruntled. So whenever he had the chance, he would give Olivia a hard time at work.
The elevator reached the underground garage.
As Olivia walked to her Bentley, she heard the sound of crying that had been deliberately suppressed.
The voice sounded familiar.
After finding the sound, she was silent for two seconds but decided to look.
Following the sound to the place, Olivia saw the woman inside the white BMW, Linda.
Linda's forehead rested against the steering wheel, and her shoulders shook slightly as she cried.
Olivia was a bit shocked.
The usual strong woman Linda had times when she cried like this.
Then Olivia thought about the discussion she had heard inside the elevator.
The contract matter was resolved because Linda had taken all the blame.
After crying for a while, Linda then noticed that there was someone outside the car.
She hurriedly wiped her face and showed Olivia a smile worse than crying.
"See you tomorrow, Olivia. Take care on the road."
