LOGAN After helping in the kitchen I made my way back to Kay’s room. I didn’t feel right leaving her for a whole month. Maybe I’d drive the 40 minutes over break to spend time with her. I kept thinking of Cade. I wish things didn’t feel so simple when we were around each other. I guess I hadn’t realized how much I had missed him until we were together again. My mind drifted to the small gift that sat in my dorm room. I saw it a week ago at the mall and I laughed when I saw it, knowing that it would be a perfect Christmas gift for Cade. Did I ever plan on giving it to him? I’m not sure. I’ve wanted to but I’d worked so hard to distance myself. But on the other hand, I had no intention of keeping the gift.
