LOGAN I walk downstairs wearing a pair of skinny jeans and a sweatshirt. My eyes meet Cades instantly. The corners of his mouth turn up into a smile as he looks me up and down. My hair is in a bun and I’m sporting my glasses today. Nothing about me screams attractive. “Is that what you’re wearing for your date?” My mom asks and it feels like punch to the gut. “It’s what I’m wearing to coffee with an old friend” I argue grabbing a banana. “You could try a little more. He really likes you, honey” she says looking to Cade like he’s going to agree with her. “I think you look great, Logan” Cade says and my eyebrows lift in surprise. “I think so too honey. I’m just teasing you” my mom says. I give Cade a grateful glance before there’s a knock at the door. My dad walks into the kitchen
