My phone dinged and I grabbed it..
Jenny: I’m outside if you are ready.
I didn’t have any classes today since I finished all my assignments last night, so I had today off from school, and everyone got Friday off from school so all us girls were going to have a girls day. I grabbed my purse and headed downstairs.
“Don’t you have class?” Mrs. Maddox asked.
“Finished everything yesterday so nothing for me to do today. I’m going into town with a family friend.”
“You have been spending a lot of time with Mrs. Blackwood.”
“She’s a family friend, and she knew my mom, so I have been spending time with her learning about her.”
