“Hi Nico. What’s up?”
‘I’m here too.’
“Fine hi Nico and Dean. Again, what’s up?”
‘We just saw the news. They showed that the murder was close to your house. Are you, Lauren, and Daniel okay?’
“We’re all fine. Lauren is here with me at Rachel’s house. Daniel went to a friend’s house, and their parents are checking into a hotel.”
‘Glad your safe.’
“Thanks anything else.”
‘Why are you being so cold to us?’
‘Seriously.’
“Figure it out. Bye.”
“Damn girl that was cold.” I looked to the doorway to see Lauren and Rachel both leaning against the doorframe.
“Well, I just want an apology.”
“Do they know that’s what you want?” Rachel asked.
“They are smart they will figure it out.”
“I’m going to tell them.” Lauren said and took off running with Rachel close behind.
