“Trina honey how are you feeling?” Mrs. Maddox asked me.
“I hurt. A lot.” I said in a gruff and raspy voice due to my throat being dry.
“Here girl drink some of this.” Lauren said holding a cup of water for me to drink. I moved the bed so I could sit up and drank the whole cup.
“You kids stay here I will get the doctor.” Mrs. Maddox said running out of the room.
“Where is my Aunt?” I asked worried she would come back and finish me off.
“Was in jail but found out her boyfriend bailed her out. Mom and dad got you a restraining order so she can’t come with in 5,000ft of you.” Daniel told me.
“Thank GOD!” I said letting out a breath I didn’t realize I was holding.
