Lea and SergioOne Friday evening, a week after the fateful dinner party, Lea was closing the shop she owned in the center of Conegliano.
As she activated the alarm and locked the door her phone rang.
Sergio’s name appeared on the display and the astonishment made her drop her keys. Kneeling to pick them up, she answered.
- Hello?
- Hi Lea, it’s Sergio. Is this a bad time? You sound out of breath.
- No no, not at all. I was just closing up the shop.
Sergio moved on to the reason he was calling: he wanted to invite her to an exhibition of the famous photographer Steve McCurry, whom he admired. It was entitled “No boundaries” and it would be held at the Harry Bertoia Gallery in Pordenone.
