Morning Tensions
The day began as usual, with Safa and Sameera in the kitchen preparing breakfast. Zayn was already at the table, scrolling through his phone and throwing out wild business ideas.
“What if we organized adventure weddings?” Zayn said, barely looking up. “Skydiving vows, anyone?”
Sameera groaned. “Zayn, stop. You’re making my brain hurt.”
“You can’t stop genius,” Zayn quipped, earning a flick on the forehead from Sameera.
“Behave, or I’ll make you do the dishes,” Safa warned, laughing.
As the banter continued, Humain walked into the room, his expression unusually grim. He greeted everyone with a nod before pouring himself a cup of coffee. Safa noticed the tension in his shoulders and the dark circles under his eyes.
“Rough night?” she asked gently.
Humain hesitated before nodding. “Something like that.”
Before Safa could press further, Salman entered, his phone in hand. “Morning, everyone. Humain, we need to talk about the company’s accounts later.”
Humain stiffened but nodded. “After breakfast.”
The atmosphere grew heavy as Salman and Humain exchanged meaningful looks. Safa and Sameera exchanged a glance, their curiosity piqued.

Secrets Unfold
Later that morning, Humain and Salman sat in the study, the folder from Faraz spread out before them.
“This is bad,” Salman said, running a hand through his hair. “Whoever’s doing this knows exactly what they’re doing.”
“I know,” Humain replied, his jaw tight. “But we can’t act rashly. We need more information.”
“What about Faraz?” Salman asked. “Can he dig deeper?”
“He’s working on it,” Humain said. “But we need to tread carefully. If the embezzler realizes we’re onto them, they could cover their tracks.”
Salman nodded, his expression grim. “What about the team? Do you suspect anyone?”
Humain hesitated. “I don’t want to point fingers without proof. But… I have my suspicions.”
Before they could discuss further, there was a knock at the door.
“Come in,” Humain called.
Safa entered, holding a tray of tea. “Thought you two could use a break.”
“Thanks, Safa,” Salman said, giving her a grateful smile.
Humain watched her as she set the tray down, her presence a calming influence amidst the chaos. For a brief moment, the tension in the room seemed to ease.

A Family Intervention
That evening, the family gathered in the living room for their weekly game night. Sameera had insisted on a trivia game, much to Zayn’s dismay.
“This is rigged,” Zayn complained after losing another round. “You all just want to make me look bad.”
“No, you do that all by yourself,” Hussain quipped, earning a round of laughter.
As the game progressed, Safa noticed Humain sitting on the sidelines, his attention elsewhere. She nudged Sameera, who raised an eyebrow.
“What’s with him?” Sameera whispered.
“Not sure,” Safa replied. “But something’s definitely bothering him.”
After the game ended, Safa found Humain in the garden, staring at the stars.
“Hey,” she said softly, approaching him. “You okay?”
Humain looked at her, his guarded expression softening. “Yeah, just… a lot on my mind.”
“Want to talk about it?” she asked, sitting down next to him.
Humain hesitated before nodding. “There’s some trouble at work. Someone’s been stealing from the company.”
Safa’s eyes widened. “That’s serious. Do you know who it is?”
“Not yet,” he admitted. “But I will. I won’t let them get away with it.”
Safa placed a reassuring hand on his arm. “You’re not alone in this, Humain. If you need help, just ask.”
Humain felt a warmth spread through him at her words. For the first time in days, he felt a glimmer of hope.

The Plot Thickens
The next day, Faraz called Humain with an update. “I’ve narrowed down the list of suspects,” he said. “There are three employees who had access to the funds in question.”
“Send me their names,” Humain replied, his voice firm.
As he ended the call, Safa entered the room, a curious look on her face. “Everything okay?”
“Just work stuff,” Humain said, trying to sound casual.
Safa crossed her arms. “You know, you’re a terrible liar.”
Humain sighed, running a hand through his hair. “Fine. Faraz thinks he’s found the people responsible for the theft.”
“And?” Safa prompted.
“And now I have to figure out how to confront them without tipping them off,” he said.
Safa thought for a moment. “Why not invite them to a meeting under the guise of discussing a new project? You can observe their reactions and see if anything seems off.”
Humain raised an eyebrow. “That’s… actually a good idea.”
Safa smirked. “Don’t sound so surprised.”

A Suspicious Meeting
Two days later, Humain called a meeting with the three suspects. He kept the agenda vague, presenting it as a brainstorming session for a new initiative.
As the meeting progressed, Humain watched the employees closely, noting their body language and reactions. One of them, a man named Azeem, seemed unusually nervous, avoiding eye contact and fidgeting with his pen.
After the meeting, Humain pulled Salman aside. “I think it’s Azeem,” he said. “He was acting strange.”
“I noticed that too,” Salman said. “But we need more than gut feelings. Let’s see if Faraz can dig up more evidence.”
Humain nodded, determined to get to the bottom of the mystery.

A Moment of Levity
That evening, the family gathered for dinner. Zayn was in high spirits, regaling everyone with stories of his latest business venture—a themed party service.
“I’ve already got ideas for Bollywood nights, retro parties, even an underwater theme,” Zayn said enthusiastically.
“Underwater?” Sameera repeated, incredulous. “Are you planning to flood the house?”
“Don’t give him ideas,” Hussain muttered, earning a laugh from Juveriya.
As the laughter subsided, Humain found himself glancing at Safa. She caught his eye and smiled, a silent exchange that spoke volumes.

The Calm Before the Storm
Later that night, Humain sat in his study, reviewing the evidence Faraz had sent over. The pieces were starting to come together, but he knew there was still work to be done.
A knock at the door interrupted his thoughts. “Come in,” he said.
Safa entered, holding two cups of tea. “Thought you could use a break.”
Humain smiled, grateful for her presence. “Thanks.”
They sat in companionable silence for a while, the weight of the day easing slightly. Finally, Safa spoke.
“You’re going to figure this out,” she said confidently. “I know you will.”
Humain looked at her, a soft smile playing on his lips. “With you around, I think I just might.”
