I could almost hear her thoughts: "Go ahead, make a scene. Show everyone what a mess you are." I bent down smoothly, picked up the fallen spoon, and gave her my most professional smile. "I'll bring you a clean one right away." Lord, I’d been so good to you. What did I do to deserve this? A whining voice echoed in my thoughts as I made my way to the counter to pick up their order. But whatever complaints I had, I pushed them away as quickly as they came. Be polite. Be professional. Act with class. I repeated these words in my head like a mantra. I loaded the food onto the trolley and made my way back to Grey and Natalia's table with the clean spoon she had requested. “Here’s the food you ordered, ma’am and sir.” The words were soft and polite; no one would guess I was brutally murdering
