Emily and I began to fight off the attackers, and they weren't much of a threat to us.
It was an easy battle, and I saw Evelyn motioning for me to come to her.
I fought my way to her and asked her what was going on.
"Something's not right," Evelyn said. "Jake told me he'd let me know when the attack would start, but I didn't get any message from him."
I thought about it and it seemed strange because this fight was sudden, and it looked like these guys hadn't even trained.
But I didn't give it much thought because they were in large numbers.
"But one thing that's bothering me is that Jake has found out that I'm not working with him anymore," Evelyn explained.
