Chapter 8: Confused

Shane's P.O.V

Its Tuesday today yesterday my little angel told me that she misses me, it’s a start. I will take it slow even if I wanted to mark my little mate right now. I don’t want to scare her she is still only human. I am now on my way to pick up my little angel for school. I parked in front of her house and walked up to the door and knock on the door. “I’m coming “I heard my little angel’s soft voice. She opened the door. Oh my goodness she is perfect. I just want to kiss those plum pink lips. But instead I gave her a hug. “Good morning angel did you sleep well?” I asked kissing her forehead, feeling sparks go through me. “Good morning yes I did, did you sleep well?” she asked. “Kind of, I missed you. I will sleep better with you in my arms baby.” I said watching her blush. We walk to my car and I opened the door for her so that she could get in. She climb in the car I closed the door and walk to my side of the car and get in. I drove and put the radio on. I know this song it’s a Pitbul and Christina song. I started to sing along with Pitbul’s voice. ”Ask for money and get advice, ask for advice get money twice I’m from the dirty but that Chico’s nice, yall call it a moment I call it a life.” I stopped when I saw my angel smiling at me looking at me amused but then she surprised me. She sang along with Christina’s voice; “One day when the light is glowing, I will be in my castle golden, but until the gates are open, I just wane feel this moment, whoa-oh I just wane feel this moment.” She sang with her sweet soft voice. She has a beautiful voice. I could listen to her all day. My angel and I sang to the song together. After the song we drove in silence it was a comfortable silence. I parked at my usual spot. I climbed out and opened my angel’s door. “Thank you.” she said smiling at me. Oh how I would wish to kiss that soft lips of her. I smiled back at her. “Let’s go baby. “I said taking her hand in mine. I stopped at my locker first I took the books I will need and we walk to her locker to get her books. Then my blood starts to boil, at my little angle’s locker stood Dave in all his glory. “Why the hell are you standing at my mate’s locker?” I said angry. My angel put her tiny hand on my arm. “It’s alright Shane he asked for my help to apologize to Lilly.” She said. Her touch is working I can feel myself relaxing. “Baby it’s not a good idea he could hurt you again.” I said. “I’m not going to hurt her Alpha Davis I promise. You can kill me if I hurt her.” Dave said smirking at me. “Trust me I will kill you if you come near her and baby you are not helping him, do you understand?” I said Turning to my angel. Stubborn as she is she walked in front of Dave a few feet away from him and turns to me. “No Shane I’m going to help them. Lilly is getting thinner by the day and Dave is looking bad too. They need each other. Like we need each other.” She said. I hate it, but she is right. Lilly became one of my friends too. “Fine baby.” I said to her. I walked closer to Dave. “If you hurt one of them I will rip you apart.” I said warning him. “You have my word, but I need to talk to Malia alone, otherwise Lilly would find out what I’m planning and run, she will find out through your mind link she is in your pack.” He said. “No, I’m not leaving Malia with you alone.” I said getting angrier. “Please Shane, you trust me right?” my angel asked. “Baby I trust you I just don’t trust him.” I said looking at her. “Please baby just give us a few minutes.” She said giving me the puppy eyes and she even baby me. This beautiful mate of mine really looks cute with her puppy eyes. “Fine five minutes I’m timing you two.” I said and disappeared but not too far so that I still can hear them with my werewolf hearing. “What do you want me to do?” my little angel said turning to Dave still keeping her distance. “I just want you to lock us up together. The math class in building B at lunch time. I will sent you a message when we done talking.” Dave said to my mate. “Lilly will hate me.” She said. “You’re helping her.” He said. “Fine here is my number I will do it. Now please leave. ”She said. “Thank you I owe you one.” He said and left. I walked back to my baby. When I arrived she was just busy packing her books in her bag. “You were ease dropping weren’t you?’ she asked. “Thank you she said before I could answer. “How did you know baby?” I asked. “I could feel that you were near me.” She said. “It means the bond is getting stronger angel.” I said. ”Shane I need your help with something. I want you to use your hearing to save Lilly if she’s in danger.” She said. “I will do that for you baby.” I said cupping her face and kiss her on her little button nose. My angel had sent Lilly a message to meet her at the math class in building B at lunchtime. I walked my baby to her class and went to mine. At lunch time I hide near the class so that they won’t pick up my scent. I saw Dave go in and then Lilly. Malia locked the door after them. Then she said to the other side. “I’m sorry Lilly just give him a change.” My angel said. “No Malia why did you do that.” Lilly said crying. Knocking on the door. I saw my angel also crying. I mind link Lilly “Lilly calm down I’m here he won’t hurt you just listen what he wanted to say please.” I commanded her nicely. I made my way to my mate and took her in my arms, holding her tightly. We stood outside the door. I used my werewolf hearing to listen in on their conversation.

Dave: “Lilly baby, I’m really sorry. I know that I screwed up. I know I don’t deserve you or you’re forgiveness, I was a total jackass to you and I’m really sorry.” He stepped closer to Lilly.

Lilly still crying: “just leave me alone. “She stepped away.

Dave:” Please baby I am really sorry. I know I hurt you real bad, but I really need you baby.

Lilly:” I don’t want you anymore”

Dave:” You don’t mean that baby, let me make it up to you. Let me earn your trust again. Let’s try fixing it.”

Lilly: “Why?”

Dave: “I love you I loved you the first moment I set my eyes on you. I just didn’t want to admit it yet baby and when Shane told me to stay away from you .I felt broken that’s when I realized I needed you and that I had made a mistake. I was stupid but I didn’t reject you because I love you.”

The next moment I heard smooching and moaning, oh my goodness. Lilly mind linked me “Alpha its fine now you guys can go.” I unlocked the door and turned to my angel “We can go now baby they are fine. “I said to my angel. The next moment we heard Lilly scream. My little angel run to the door and opened it, I saw her froze. Dave was holding Lilly with his canines out ready to mark Lilly. Malia ran to Lilly grabbing her and run past me earning a growl out of Dave. “Why the hell did your mate stop me?” He asked with fury in his eyes . I will also be mad if someone tries to stop me from marking my own mate. “I’m sorry Dave I think that she might have thought you would hurt Lilly again.” I apologize to Dave. “I want my mate back Shane find her and send her to me.” He said walking past me. I mind linked Lilly to ask where they were, she told me they were outside of the building. I made my way to where they were. They were sitting on the grass Lilly holding Malia in a hug. Was my Angel crying? I looked at Lilly confused. Lilly mind linked me. ‘Alpha I told her that Dave wanted to mark me and that I wanted him to, she feels guilty, because she thought he wanted to hurt me.” I mind linked her back. “Its fine Lilly go to him I will handle my little angel. She gave Malia a last hug and walk away. I turned to my little angel. “Baby?” I asked softly .She is very quiet. “Baby?” I asked again cupping her cheeks. ”Don’t cry baby please she will be fine. “I said to her. “Yes she will be and she will be happy.” She said. I kissed her on her forehead. Maybe it’s happy tears. “Let’s get you something to eat baby.” I said to her I took her hand and walk to the cafeteria where our friends were I mind linked them to tell them about Lilly and Dave. We ate our lunch at talked a little. The only one not talking was my angel. She didn’t say a word. Is she sad about something? She just plays with the food. I wanted to ask her what’s wrong but Lisa opened her mouth before I could. “Malia will you please come with me to the bathroom?” Lisa asked. “Yeah sure.” My angel said .Lisa mind linked me. ”I will handle it Shane.” “Thanks” I replied. Maybe my angel will talk to Lisa more freely. I hope that she would. Lisa and Malia stood up. “We will be back soon.“ Lisa said and gave Jasper a kiss. They walk out. I feel a kind of bit worried about Malia, after a while they came back. My angel still looking the same. She still looks sad. “She didn’t want to talk. ”Lisa mind linked me. “Hi baby everything okay? “I asked my angel. She shook her head shaking yes. I can’t handle this anymore. Now she doesn’t want to talk. “Listen Malia tell me what the hell is wrong with you, you’re being childish.” I said a bit harshly, already feeling bad when the words left my mouth. Malia look up with her soft honey brown eyes I could see the anger in them. “Listen Shane I’m just freaked out from all of this. This mating thing is all new to me. I rather be childish than to be rude and a jackass like you.” She said and stormed off. I could only look surprised at least she didn’t knee me again. She has a temper on her and not only that she is still human. If it was somebody else talking to me like that I would teach them a lesson. I already love my baby. I was a bit harsh. The whole day I didn’t see her. She is possibly running from me again. After school I went to her locker. Maybe she will be waiting for me. But I doubt that. She was nowhere to be seen, near her locker was only a faint scent of vanilla and berries and a note taped to the locker. I opened the note and read it. “I took the buss home. Don’t worry about me I will be save. I want to talk to hunter tonight at 7pm then we could watch the stars for a bit. Malia.” So she didn’t want to talk to me. She wants to talk to my wolf form. Fine then. You hear that buddy she wants to see you. My wolf feels happy.
