Chapter 14: 7 Years later

Shane’s POV
7 Years later
Today is Millie’s seventh birthday. She is Lisa and Jasper’s little girl. They have a four year old boy as well, his name is Jack but we call him Jacky. I told Lisa I want to treat Millie today for her birthday. We are sitting in the packs’ mall in a restaurant having pink milkshakes. After this we are going to buy dresses for the little princess sitting in front of me. I usually don’t have time for shopping, but hey I mean it’s my two best friend’s baby girl. Lisa and Jasper is getting her birthday party ready with Jacky. “Alpha Shane can I get a chocolate muffin as well?” Millie asked with puppy eyes. I order her a few chocolate muffins and asked them to put it in small box to take home. I paid for the milkshakes and for the muffins as well. After that we went to the little Princess Fashion shop in the same mall. Millie’s exited to do shopping for herself. She almost showed me every dress she could find. She picks and I carry them for her, I think she has thirteen dresses that she had put in my arms already, but I don’t mind as long as she’s happy I will be. Millie ran to a rack with pink glittery dresses giggling all the way, but I froze when a scent of vanilla and berries hit my nose. I know that smell too well. I look around over the rack with the glittery pink dresses. There she stood, my little angel still looking perfect. Her back is turned our way. I could only see her golden brown hair it’s a bit shorter than it was. She’s wearing a light baby blue dress with flowers on. I wanted to run to her and kiss her, hold her even lock her up so that she wouldn’t run away again. I didn’t see her face yet she is still looking at some girls dresses. The next moment a guy with a familiar scent walk to her and put his hand on the small of her back. I just want to rip him apart and feed him to the wolfs, oh wait maybe I should eat him, yuck, he also smell like a werewolf. They must be a couple or something maybe they have a little girl, why would they be here then buying dresses? I know him from somewhere. “Alpha Shane I’m finished we can go now.” Little Millie said pulling on my shirt smiling. I looked down at her. “Let’s go then Millie.” When I looked back up they were gone. I lost my only change of talking to her again. I paid for the dresses and went to put it in the car. We drove to Lisa and Jasper’s house near the pack house for the party. Lilly ran inside with me after her, carrying her dresses for her. “Wow, wow, wow, wow and WOWWWWW!” Millie screamed when she saw the pink birthday decorations in their house. “Hi baby did you have fun?” Lisa asked Millie with a smile on her face. “Yes mommy, I almost bought the whole princess store.” She said. “I can see that, go outside all your friends are waiting for you there.” Lisa said laughing and looks at me. Millie ran outside. “Thank you for this Shane.” She said and takes the muffins with the dresses. ”You know I would do anything for you guys, Lisa I want to ask you something.” I said. ”Mm, what’s wrong?” Lisa asked. “I saw Malia in our pack’s mall today; did you know she is back?” I asked. “No I didn’t, but that’s great right?” Lisa asked. I wanted to answer but there was a knock on the door. “I will answer the door for you Lisa, go pack that away and I will meet you with your guests outside.” I said. Lisa nodded at me and I turned to open the door. My heart beat is going Crazy. My wolf is even going crazier. What the hell is wrong with me now? I opened the door there she stood with a gift rapped in her hands. Our eyes locked with each other. She looked shock to see me or more surprised to see me. I could drown in that honey brown eyes of hers. I could see hurt flashed in her eyes and I know exactly why. Then I got angry with this i***t standing next to her holding her back again. “Shane is that you?” He asked recognizing me. Should I know this i***t? And its alpha Shane to you. I thought. “It’s me Josh, Lisa’s cousin” He said. Now I remember him, he was also in our friend group but had to move away. We were best friends back then, but with his hand on my angels back will make him one of my enemies. “Oh, yeah it’s nice to see you again.” I said. It’s really not nice to see him. I shake his hand. Josh turned to my little mate. “Shane meet my companion for Millie’s party, Malia Ronald’s. Malia this is Shane Davis.” He said. “Nice to meet you Mr. Davis.” She said Looking at me. Why the hell does she pretend that she doesn’t know me? “Hi Angels, I’m glad to see you again, is this how you greet your mate?” I asked. Josh looked shock by hearing it. I wanted to pull her in for a hug, she run past me inside of the house. I smiled at that.” Come in Josh, Lisa is at the back with the rest of the guests.” I said letting him in. Josh took her hand in his, that made me growl a little bit. Both of them looked at me shocked. Josh released her hand and I relaxed. I walked past them to the back where the party was held. Lisa, Jasper and Tyler were happy to see them both. Lisa introduced them to the rest of the guests. Millie and Jacky hugged my little angel when they saw her. It made my heart swell of love for her. I’m watching my angel from afar, she is laying on a chair with Jacky in her arms sleeping. Her head was laying on Jack’s little head. She looks so cute. Josh told us that we shouldn’t wake her yet; she had a busy day at the hospital. The rest of us are sitting at the table eating. I’m glad she is working at a human hospital just near my pack. Lisa excused herself to get Jacky to eat. I stand up and took a plate with food to my little mate. I kneeled in front of her. “Angel.” I said softly to wake her.” Angel, baby wake up, you need to eat something.” I said smiling at her when I see that she opened her eyes. I handed her the food. My angel just stare’s at me as if I have two heads. “No thank you, I don’t want it, I will help myself.” She said. My angel stood up and walked away. I think she still hates me. I need to apologize somehow. If I need to lock her up I will. My angel didn’t eat much. Josh and Malia had to leave early; they were called to the hospital so they left. That night I slept like a baby, making plans how to talk to her. Tomorrow I’m going to be sick so that I could see a specific someone.
