Chapter twenty-six - First date

Aaron's POV:

I can't believe that Chloe accepted to go out with me. It's like a dream. I never thought that I will ask a girl out, but here I am. I did it and I am proud of myself for that. Moreover, this girl is made of gold. She understands me and has never judged me for anything. When everybody was against me and said that I am the bad boy, she said completely the opposite. In her eyes, I wasn't bad at all. Yes, I have never hidden from her what my life is or who I am, but somehow she accepted me. Neither for a second did Chloe doubt in me. I still can't understand why she believes me, but I am happy that she does. I don't think that I will be able to find another girl like her. Whoever send her to me, I own you a huge thank you. She is worth it more than everything. 

It's the weekend and I decide to make the date today. I know that I told her that it will be better than my invitation, but I don't think that I can make it. Instead, I want us to have fun during the day. If I get lucky, she might give me another kiss. Yesterday's one was like fire. I know that I stole her first kiss, but it was totally worth it. Her lips tasted like sweet candy. To be honest I didn't want to let her go. Up to now, no one knows about us so I have to keep hiding. I have no idea how I will hide a whole relationship, but if I want to keep her I have to do it. Moreover, it can't be that bad. We'll do what we have done up to now. Going to places where people can't see us or staying at home. 

I woke up and called Dani to come here. It was only 8 am so I hope that he is awake. Luckily, he was and picked his phone very quickly. We haven't talked since yesterday and I am sure that he will want to know what has happened between Chloe and me. From the last month, this is the only thing that he is talking about. Like he has sensed that something will happen. I don't like when he is right, because most of the time he is telling me "I told you". I know that he loves when he is right, but I wish that he didn't have to remind me.

After half an hour, I heard the front door and saw Dani walking inside. He was smiling like crazy, which means that he has been with a girl last night or I will have to answer any questions. I put some food on the kitchen table and both of us started eating. He was looking at me like he wants to ask something, but at the same time wants me to say it. 

- Will you finally tell me what is going on? - he said

- Going on with what?

- With you and Chloe. Did she accept?

- Unfortunately, yes, she did. - I laughed

- You don't look very happy. Isn't this what you wanted?

- Yes, but I kind of promised her a better date than last night and I don't think that I can do it. 

- Man, whatever you do, she will enjoy it. After all, it's from you, not someone else. Now I want you to tell me what happened last night. 

I told him everything and he was listening without blinking. It was nothing interesting for me. 

- How nothing interesting? You kissed her. I know how much you wanted to do that, but I thought that you will wait until your date. 

- Let's say that I couldn't wait anymore. - I said and he laughed

- At least you did it. What is the plan for the date?

- I don't have one. All I know is that I want it to be today and to have fun with her. I was thinking to take her to a carnival, but this sounds a little bit childish. 

- No, it's not. I have seen many couples going to carnivals. It's actually a good idea. 

- You think?

- I do. Both of you will have fun. 

- The other problem is that I don't want anyone to see us. Since no one knows about us, I don't want Chloe to get in trouble. You know what I mean. 

- Look, I understand you, but you two can't hide forever. Soon or not people will understand. I know that for Chloe is important to keep her friends, but you are also important for her. Moreover, if they are her real friends, they have to be happy for her. No matter is with you or someone else. 

- I prefer her to be only with me. 

- Ok, don't get jealous. - he laughed

- You know what. I will do it. I don't care will someone see us or not. I want to be with her and won't let anyone stop me. 

- I like this confidence. Now call her for a good morning and make sure that she will get ready. 

- You know that I am going on a date, not you, right?

- I do, but this is the first time when you actually care for a girl so I won't let you do something dumb and make her go away. 

- And that's why you are my best friend. 

We talked for a while and then he left. Dani said that I have to get ready for my date. I won't lie that I am a little bit nervous, because usually I go to a girl and show her what I can do. Now I have to make sure that she is happy and enjoys the time with me. I want her to stay with me. Chloe helped me so much that I will never be thankful enough for that. I grabbed my phone and called her. Soon she picked up. 

- Good morning. How did you sleep?

- Very good, thanks to you. 

- I am glad to hear it. I want you to free your whole day because after an hour I will come to pick you up. I want you to get ready. 

- Can I know what we'll do?

- I will tell you later. Go get ready. 

- Ok, I will. Bye then and see you soon. 

- Bye Chloe. 

I looked at the name under which was Chloe on my phone and laughed. I didn't name her just Chloe. Actually, I put "Cute girl (Chloe)". I don't know how she named me in her contacts but probably is just Aaron. Well, she can change it now to boyfriend, but I don't think that she will risk it. I won't do it, because this will remind me of where we started. I named her like that since the day she gave me her phone number. That was one very good decision. 

After one hour, I arrived one street before her house. Soon Chloe came and she was looking like she was from a magazine. Ok, not really, but she was very pretty. I don't know how I get so lucky. Chloe walked up to me with a smile and I gave her a hug. Both of us started walking. Of course, she was asking where were we going, but I didn't tell her anything. I want it to be a surprise just like yesterday. 

Soon we arrived at the carnival. Chloe looked at me like you just gave chocolate candy to a kid. I'll never get tired of her. I grabbed her hand and both of us walked in. I didn't know that it was so big. We surely will spend the whole day here. 

- I officially announce this as our first date. What do you think?

- I like it very much. Thank you. - she said and kissed my cheek. 

- What do you want us to do first?

- I want you to win me a new keychain. Can you do that?

- I think that I can. Let's go. 

There was one booth where you throw balls into metal bottles and if you hit all three pyramids, you win a big prize. Well, Chloe wanted a keychain so I don't need to get all of them down to win it for her. Usually girls like big teddy bears, but not mine. I guess that she wants to avoid questions at home. I paid the man behind the booth and he gave me three balls. I guess that I have only three shots. The luck was on my side because I hit all of the metal bottles, which means that I can choose whatever I want. I thought that I can get a big prize, but I guess this is what it means. Chloe picked a small keychain on which it says, "I will never let you go". I mean it's true. 

- Are you happy?

- Very much. Thank you for this. 

- No problem. Moreover, what it says on the keychain is true. I won't let you go. Now you are stuck with me and there is no escape. 

- I won't complain at all. - she said smiling

- What's next?

- I am getting hungry. Can we eat something? I kind of skipped breakfast today. 

- Yes sure and why did you skip it?

- Because, you said that I have only one hour to get ready. I had to take shower and make myself look like that. Sometimes I hate that I am a girl. - she said and I laughed

- Luckily, I am not. 

- But boys have other problems. 

- Yes, but not as much as the girls. 

We walked to buy food and sat at one small table. Chloe ordered French fries and I chicken nuggets. Both of us were eating peacefully without talking. I have to admit that there were many people here. Probably because it's the weekend. Most of them were families with little kids. I looked at Chloe and noticed that her head is somewhere else. I wonder what she is thinking now or maybe for who. 

- Are you thinking about me?

- What? Sorry, I didn't hear you. What were you saying?

- That you were so busy thinking about me that you didn't even hear when I talk to you. - I chuckled

- I am not thinking about you. Only for this date. 

- Don't you like it? - I said a little bit worried

- No, I love it. Just I have never imagined that you will pick something so good. I mean you are a bad boy after all. - she laughed

- You almost gave me a heart attack. 

- Sorry, I didn't mean to. Will you forgive me?

- I will, but only if you kiss me. 

- Seriously?

- Yes, I am serious. Kiss me and I will forgive you. 

- Fine, I will do it. 

Chloe sat next to me and kissed my cheek. What the heck is that? I told her to kiss me, not my cheek. Technically, this is still part of me, but this is not what I meant. 

- What was that?

- A kiss. Isn't this what you wanted?

- Yes, but a real one. On the lips. 

- Hey, you didn't say where. It was still a kiss. Next time say where you want it to be. 

- Ok, can I get a lip one?

- No, because I already gave you. 

- Why you are so stubborn? No one will see us. 

- If I play it easy, you will get bored of me. You are not the only one who can play the hard-to-get game. 

- I feel like I don't know anything about you. 

- Because you have never asked. - she said and kissed me

- I thought that you don't want to give me one. 

- I changed my mind. Otherwise, you were going to complain the whole day. 

Chloe and I went to play a couple of more games. When I looked at my phone it was already 4 pm. Time really flies when I am with her. I like that she is happy because this means that I did well. While Chloe was trying to hit ten on the darts board, I was looking at her. I don't know what she wants to win, but I like how angry she gets every time when she misses. After half an hour, she finally won something. She came to me and gave me her prize. It was a small bottle. I looked at her confused. 

- This is the bottle if wishes. Do you see the small paper inside? You write your wish on it and put it back inside. Then you have to put the bottle on a special for your place. People say that after time it comes true. Moreover, since I made you win me something, I wanted to return you the favor. - she said and kissed my cheek

- Thank you for this present. I will use it for sure. Do you want to know what is my wish?

- No, you can't tell anyone. 

- Ok, I won't tell you. What should we do next?

- Why don't we memorize this day?

- I like this idea. 

- Good. There is a photo booth there. 

Both of us walked there and took many crazy pictures. I won't lie that this was fun, the same as the whole day. When we were done, Chloe wanted more food, because we ate almost five hours ago. I was starving as well. I bought some food and brought it to her. I laughed when I saw the way she was looking at the food. My girl is priceless. I love her so much. 

Soon it started to get dark. There is one thing that I left for the end and this is the Ferris wheel. I didn't tell her what I want to do, but I think that she will understand. I waited until we were the only ones in the line. I don't want to be other people on it, because when we get to the top, I will tell the man to stop it for around ten minutes. Other people might not like this and that's why they have to be gone. 

- Where are we going now?

- Follow me and you will understand. - I said and grabbed her hand

- I love the Ferris wheel.

- Hi, we want two tickets. - I said to the man

- Ok, no problem.  

- Go and sit. I will pay and come. 

Chloe did it and I walked to the man. 

- Look, I want a favor. When we get to the top, I want you to stop the wheel for around ten minutes. Can you do this?

- Yeah, why not? I mean there are no more people so I can do that. 

- Thank you. 

I sat next to Chloe and as soon as we reached the top, the man stopped the wheel. She looked at me confused and I gave her my everything will be ok look. We were looking at the sunset from the Ferris wheel. It was so pretty. I wrapped my hand around Chloe and she snuggled. I will never get tired of her. I was about to kiss her, but the man let go of the wheel. I guess that our ten minutes passed. I wonder when I will receive my kiss. 

- That was fun. Thank you for today. This was one very successful date. 

- I am glad that you liked it. Let's take you home now. It's getting late. 

- Not before I give you a gift. I know how much you wanted that. 

- Wanted what? I don't understand. 

Chloe didn't say anything else and just kissed me. I felt the same emotions as last night. She wrapped her hands around my neck and I put mine on her waist. If I could, I would kiss her the whole night. She is better than all the girls who I have ever kissed. I don't know how she is doing it, but this is incredible. I don't want this to end. I want us to be like that forever. 

Soon she pulled away and I send her home. I would love it if she could sleep at home, but let's leave that for another day. Moreover, her parents don't know where is she or with who. 

- That's it. Goodnight and I will see you tomorrow or on Monday.

- Probably on Monday. Now, mom will ask me a bunch of questions. 

- Did she suspects something?

- I forgot to tell you. I told her everything and she accepted you. Dad doesn't know so it's better if you don't come home for up to now. 

- Ok, not as I have planned to. Go to sleep now. 

- I will. Bye and I will see you soon. - she kissed me and left

That was one very successful date. I am happy that Chloe agreed to go out with me. I wanted this for a couple of weeks and it finally happened. Well, in the beginning, I wasn't sure about that, but now I am. I don't want any other girl. It will take me time to get used to the idea of having a girlfriend, but I know that she will help me. This is what she always does and I am very happy about it. This is the girl who I won't let go of. I love you, Chloe.
