The good girl is changing me

Chapter sixteen - Spending time with the good girl

Aaron's POV:

After our break or whatever it was, I decide to keep going out with Chloe. The reason is not that she came to talk with me. I did it for her, but to be honest I didn't like it. From everyone, except my best friend, she is the only one who thinks that I am not that bad. Moreover, I like to spend some time with her. Chloe is nice and I feel like I can talk with her about everything. She understands me and has never criticized me. People like her are very rare. Maybe it's because of who I am. I won't change so people have to get used to me and my personality. Well, if I have to be honest, I have changed some things since Chloe came into my life, but they are not that much. Probably the biggest one is that I told her about my parents. I don't like to talk about this, but with her, I felt comfortable. 

In the morning, I woke up and get dressed. I texted Dani and he said that soon he will be here. Today I want to have my breakfast with him. We are always around people so the days in which we can talk normally and without someone to hear us are not much. I decide to make us sandwiches because I am too lazy for something more complicated and to be honest I don't know how to cook. I can make simple things. I have wondered if Chloe can cook. She is a girl so she definitely knows more than I do. 

Soon Dani came and I gave him the breakfast. He looked at me and chuckled. What? He knows that I can't cook so I don't see anything funny in that. I sat down at the table next to him and both of us started eating. No one was talking. It looks like he wants to ask me something. I wonder what it is. If it's about Chloe again, I won't answer. I know that he wants me to tell him everything, but there is nothing between her and me. We are not even friends or not officially. I mean complete strangers won't meet every day. 

- Will you ask or you will be quiet? It better not be about Chloe.

- Then I have nothing to ask. 

- Why are you so interested in her?

- Because since she appeared, you can't stop thinking about her. I won't lie that she is pretty. - he chuckled

- I just like being around her. Nothing else. You can stop imagining things. 

- I don't imagine anything. It's visible that since she came, you changed. You even told her about your parents and I know how much you don't like to talk about this. 

- So now what? This means that I like her. - I said with sarcasm

- All I am saying is that even if you don't admit it, you care about her and the fact that she thinks that there is something good in you shows it clearly. You want to keep her. Am I right?

Maybe he is. I haven't thought so far, but I won't lie that I would like it if she keep coming to see me. Yes, she is nice and makes me feel comfortable. I don't need to be the bad boy all the time. I can just be myself and tell her what I think without being judged. Something, which doesn't happen very often. 

- Won't you answer me?

- I don't know. I don't want to date her, but at the same time, I don't want her to stay away from me. 

- I didn't say that you have to date her. All you want is to spend some time with her. To be honest, I was going to leave you two to go out, but since she wanted me, I decide to accept. Otherwise, it was going to look like I am trying to set you up. 

- I'm glad that you came. Moreover, I think that she likes you. I mean like a person. 

- Don't worry, I won't steal her from you. - he chuckled

After breakfast, we walked to school. I know that now everyone is in class, so I decide to use this chance. I wrote a note and put it in Chloe's locker. It was something simple. Probably she will come on her lunch break or that's what I hope for. When I was done, Dani and I walked to our school. I wrote on the note to her to don't show it to anyone. I don't want her to be in trouble. 

My best friend and I arrived for the second class. Someone will ask me how I will graduate when I skip so many classes. I have my ways. Dani said that today he would stay until the pre-last class, which means that on the lunch break I will be alone. It won't be my first time. I just prefer to be with him, because with the company is better. Well, if Chloe comes, it will be better for sure. 

I get what I needed from my locker and walked out of school. I went for a coffee from the store in front of Chloe's school and as usual, I sat on the small stairs. Probably the seller already has remembered me since I buy coffee almost every day. I was scrolling on my phone when I felt a presence next to me. I turned around and saw Chloe. When did she come? It doesn't matter. I'm glad that she is here. 

- I read your note. 

- I'm glad to hear it. I hope that you are not in trouble. 

- Don't worry, nobody saw it. Where will we go?

- Where do you want?

- Somewhere, where not many people go. I like quiet places. 

- Ok, no problem. I have something in mind.

Until the rest of her lunch break, she was here. We were talking about everything. Up to now, she has had a pretty good day. Chloe told me about the new season of the football team. One of their matches is with my school, but I won't tell her that. If she comes to watch it, I will be happy to see her. I don't like football that much, but I won't miss the chance to watch how someone will beat Ricky. 

Soon the classes finished and Chloe came out with her friends. She walked by me and gave me a note. After that, she walked into the store behind me. I read the note and was very surprised. I have to be an i***t to say no to that. I'm not going to lie that I am happy now. 

Would you mind if after an hour I come to your house for a while? Then we can go out. If you don't want, that's ok. I just wanted to spend some time with you. 

Soon Chloe walked out and I carefully passed her the note. I think that she liked my answer since there was a smile on her face. She is just a girl, but for some reason, I can't stop thinking about her. There is something in her that makes her different from the other girls, but I don't know what. 

I walked home to get ready. Well, all I did was take a shower. I don't know what she want us to do so I put some food on the coffee table in the living room. Luckily, I had some food, which reminds me that I have to do the shopping again. Like I haven't done it soon. Ok, it was a week ago and to be honest I don't buy much food. I prefer to go more often, but to have fresh food. 

After like ten minutes, there was a knock on the door and I went to open it. Chloe was here and I won't lie that she looks good. At least she is not with the blue hoodie again. I appreciate that she wears it, but sometimes I think that it's only because of me. Not like I mind, but I'm sure that she has other clothes as well. I let her in and both of us walked into the living room. She looked at the food and then at me. 

- Since I don't know what we'll do, I decide to pull out some food. 

- I like the way you are thinking. - she said and sat down on the couch

- Thank you. I have to go shopping for food soon. Probably I will do it tomorrow. 

- I can come with you if you want. 

- I would love that, no matter that it's not something interesting. 

- I got an idea, but probably you won't like it. 

- Can I hear it?

- We can go shopping for your food and make a movie night. Here is quiet and no one can see me. Well, if you still want us to go out, I won't complain. 

Does she want to stay with me? I guess that I have to get used to that. I won't lie that my smile get bigger than the moment I read her note in front of the school. 

- This is one very good idea. 

- Then what are waiting? Let's go. 

- I'll go and take my wallet. Stay here. 

When I was done, both of us walked out. We went to the nearest store. I told Chloe to get what she wants for the movie night, while I am shopping for the week. I am not a healthy person, but this doesn't mean that I won't get some vegetables or fruits. My next stop was to the frozen food. It's not the most delicious thing in the world, but it's good for me since I can't cook. I finished with what I needed and went to search for Chloe. I found her at the sweet stand. When I looked at her, I started laughing. Her hands were full of food. I walked up to her and put everything on the shopping cart. 

After like an hour we finished with the shopping and went home. We had four big bags full of food. Well, two and a half were for the whole week. The other was for tonight. Chloe offered to pay for the food, which she chose, but I didn't let her. We put all the bags on the kitchen table and started taking out the products. Chloe took one box and opened it. I had no idea what is this. 

- Chloe, what is this?

- We’ll make some cookies. Well, I will make them. Can I use your oven?

- No, you can't. 

- Oh, ok. - she said and nodded her head down

- I was kidding. You can use whatever you want. - I said chuckling and she looked at me

Chloe took out the ready dough and started making the cookies. I finished with the products and each one was in its place. I sat at the table and looked at her. Probably her mom taught her how to cook. She looked at me and I gave her a smile. We were staring at each other, but soon she came back to her cookies. After half an hour they were done. I have no idea what type of movies she likes so when we came back in the living room, I gave her the remote. 

- Why are you giving it to me?

- Because I don't know what type of movies you like. 

- Everything, which is not romance. 

- I thought that as a girl, this is what you like. 

- I mean teen one I can watch, but the old couple is just not for me. - she said laughing

- Ok, give me a title and I will search for it. 

- Have you watched mean girls? It's an old movie, but I like it. 

- No, never. We can watch it if you want. 

- I would love to. 

I played the movie and it turned out that it's not so bad. I won't tell Dani about that, because he won't stop making fun of me. Later Chloe texted her mom to tell her that she will eat out with a friend. I guess that she still hasn't told them about me. Maybe that is better. I am not a fathers’ favorite when it comes to their daughter. When the movie ended, I went to make dinner. Chloe wanted to help me, but I told her to rest. I mean she made the cookies. Now it's my turn to make something. I went into the kitchen and started making dinner when I heard a voice. 

- It smells delicious. I can't wait to try it. 

- I'm glad that you like it. I hope that it tastes as good as it smells. 

- I'm sure that it will since you are making it. - she said and I looked at her

- Thanks for the compliment.

After all, I let her help me because she wasn't going to leave me in peace. This is the first time when I am letting someone so close to me. I mean even with Dani we don't do these things. Well, we are boys. I won't lie that it's weird. I got used to do everything alone and now I have to share it. I don't say that it's bad, just it will take me some time to get used to it. 

I went into the bathroom for a while and when I came back, I hear Chloe singing. I walked to the kitchen and saw her making the salad while dancing around. The bad boy will laugh and make fun of her, but I will only appreciate it. Well, until she notices me, which how I see will be soon. Chloe turned around and froze at her place when she saw me. I didn't say anything and got close. I took the bowl from her hands, left it on the table, and gave her a hug. I guess that this helped. When everything was done, we walked into the living room for the next movie. 

- What should we watch next? I won't lie that I liked the movie. Don't tell Dani about that. - I said and she laughed

- I won't. Since you liked it, I'm glad to tell you that there is another one. 

- I happily will watch it. 

Until the end of the night, we were watching movies, talking, and laughing. Around 10 pm, Chloe walked home. I offered to walk with her, but she denied. I have to admit that I liked spending some time with the good girl. When I said that I will be walking after this type, I didn't mean exactly that. As I said, Chloe has something that the other girls don't. I have no idea what is it, but this is what makes her different from the rest. I hope that this won't be the last day, which I can spend with her because if I have to be honest, I want to have many more of them.
