Chapter twenty-four - I want to ask her on a date

Aaron's POV:

Should I have kissed Chloe that night? I won't lie that I would love to find out what taste her lips have, but I don't know was this the right moment. Yes, I was sober, but I want to do it when she is ready. By the look of the things, she has never kissed anyone and I want her to enjoy it. To make feel what is it like when someone actually likes you and wants to be with you. Not like me when I was walking after every girl that catches my eye. I have to admit that I like her. I don't know how it happened, but I have never met another girl, who doesn't want me to get in her pants, but actually to have something with me. I mean that Chloe wants to have a friend, not only a hookup and I am ready to give her that and even more if she wants. I want to make her happy because she deserves it. Especially after all the things, which she did for me. 

I woke up with the thought of Chloe. If I really want to go out with her, I have to make something. I don't want to be like the boys who ask directly and wait for an answer. I want to make something to which she can't say no. Maybe we can go to a beautiful place or walk around. I know that she loves walks, but I don't find them special. I will ask Dani. He can give me an idea. I want this to be perfect just like her. I know what people say about me, but I want to prove to her that they are wrong. Not like she doesn’t know it already, but I want to make sure that she won't change her mind. 

It's crazy how I have said that I won't go out on a date or will have a girlfriend and now I am planning to ask a girl out. It's not whoever it is. It's Chloe and I have to know that she will accept. I only hope that I won't mess up because if I have to be honest this is the first time when I actually will do something for someone. Before I was just going to the girl who I like and giving her a taste, but now it's different. I don't want to play with her. I want her to be with me and no one else. It sounds a little bit selfish, but I really want to be with Chloe. 

I walked to school and saw Dani waiting for me in front of it. Since I never walk to class on time, now it's the perfect moment to talk with my best friend. Both of us walked to the football field. 

- For what we are here?

- I want to talk with you about something. It's very important for me and I want you to be serious. No jokes. 

- Ok, I won't make any jokes. Now tell me what that important thing is. 

- I want to ask Chloe on a date, but I don't want just to ask her. I want to make something to which she won't be able to say no. 

- What? Are you serious?

- More than ever. Man, every time when we are together I want to kiss her, but never do it, because I feel like this is not the moment. I don't know how long I can wait. 

- I have to say that I am very glad to hear it. What exactly do you want to do for her?

- I don't know. The normal way is too boring. I like her and I want it to be something special and unforgettable. If you understand me. 

- I do and I think that you should take her somewhere. 

- Where? I have no idea what she likes. 

- You spent so much time with her. How you don't know what she likes?

- We don't talk about these things. We just walk around or watch movies at home. No one of us talks about each other. Most of our talks are about what is going on around us. - I said and he laughed

- Then what will you do? I suggest you talk with her and try to understand what she likes. 

- And how I am supposed to do that without her suspecting something?

- That's what you have to figure out. 

We talked for a while and then went to class. During the whole time, I was thinking about what to do. I will take her to a place, but where? I don't want her to hate me, because she didn't like the place. I have to talk with her and it has to be today. Let's hope that she is free. 

On the lunch break, I left and walked to Chloe's school. She didn't tell me will she come today. I bought a cup of coffee from the shop in front of the school and sat on the small stairs. I was sitting peacefully when the sun hid. I looked up and saw that it wasn't the sun. It was Chloe looking better than ever. I won't lie that I am very happy to see her. Probably because we haven't been together since that night at home, which was a couple of days ago. 

- Can I take a sip?

- How much do you want. If you want I will buy you one. 

- Thanks, but no need to. I am not the biggest fan of coffee. 

- What else you don't like?

- I don't know. Many things. Why?

- Just asking. 

- I don't like spicy food. Once I tried and my mouth was burning for three days. I have never drunk so much milk before. - she said laughing

- I don't want to imagine. 

- I also don't like people to spend money on me. I mean that I appreciate it if someone gives me a present, but I don't want them to feel the need to do it. 

- I understand, but what if someone wants to give you a present like a thank you gift?

- Well, in that case, I will accept it. 

- Why do you love parks so much?

- Because there is quiet and the nature is pretty. Why are you asking so many questions?

- I will be honest with you. We have talked about so many things, but in fact, I don't know anything about you. That's why I decide to get to know you. 

- Ok, yes, you are right that we don't know much about each other. What else do you want to know?

- For example, what is your favorite place in town?

- I don't think that I have one. I mean that I am not the most going out person, but I like quiet places. What about you?

- I like when you are with me. 

- What?

- I meant that I like the places where we go together. 

- Yeah, sure. - she laughed and saw that her cheeks are light pink

- Do you want to spend the rest of the day with me?

- Why not? The girls are busy today so I have nothing to do.

- If you want we can make a movie night. 

- So I can fall asleep and you can bring me to your room. Nice try. - she chuckled

- I didn't plan it like that, but if that's what you want, I won't disagree. 

- But in one condition. When I come, I want you in one piece and no scars. 

- Whatever you want. Today I am on your services. 

- Then I can have my benefits. 

- Yes, you do. - I laughed

Chloe walked to her next class and me at home. I told her that after school I would wait for her. She said that she will go home and then to my house. Now I have to think about what we will do the whole day. I put some food on the coffee table in the living room. I have never put so much effort into someone. Twenty minutes passed and I was still thinking about what else we can do the whole day. I didn't think of anything and went for a shower. I let the warm water hit me. It was so nice. When I am in good mood, I can take longer showers. After half an hour, I was done and walked out of the bathroom to find Chloe on my bed. I forgot that I told her to walk in when she comes. There was a chance that I won't hear the doorbell or her knocking. 

In the moment she saw me, her eyes trailed me. I chuckled to myself but didn't say anything. I walked closer to her and saw how nervous she got. I only took my phone and walked to the wardrobe. I grabbed some clothes and went to change in the bathroom. I didn't put a shirt on and walked out like that. Her eyes landed on me once again. This time I sat in front of her. No one was talking. We were staring at each other like this was the last time when we'll do it. I removed a piece of her hair, put it behind her ear, and placed my hand on her cheek. I felt how she shivered under my touch. If you ask me, I want to do something now, but I will hold on. Her hand moved closer to my body, but she backed it away. I didn't think twice, grabbed her hand, and put it on my chest. I felt the coldness in my body. 

- Are you cold? 

She only shook her head without saying anything. 

- I can warm you up if you want. - I chuckled, which made her look at me

- Um... no, thanks. 

I pulled her close and gave her a hug coming with a kiss on the top of her head. Later I laid down and Chloe did the same. I gave her a look and luckily, she understood it. She came closer and snuggled in me. I won't deny a little nap with her. The last time when I asked her, she denied it. 

- Do you want us to take a nap? I won't do anything else, I promise. 

- Yes, I would love that. 

After two hours, I woke up. It was almost 6 pm, which is dinnertime. I was thinking to order food, but maybe she would like us to go out. I looked at Chloe. She was sleeping so peacefully. I didn't want to wake her up. I slightly rubbed her cheek with my thumb. It was so soft that I couldn't resist and kissed it. Believe it or not, I want to explore her. To know everything about her, but most importantly to taste her. I want to kiss her and make her mine. I want her to be with me and with no one else. 

Soon Chloe woke up and looked at me. My hand was still on her cheek, but she didn't remove it. I gave her a smile and she returned it. Can't we just lay like that all day? I don't want to let her go. 

- Good evening. What do you want for dinner? I was thinking to order food, but if you want, we can go out. I also have put some junk food on the coffee table in the living room. 

- We can order pizza and watch movies in bed. Do you want to? - she looked at me with her innocent eyes

There is no way that I can say no to whatever is it when she is looking at me like that. 

- How can I say no to these eyes. - I said and saw how she blushed

She needs to stop doing it. Otherwise, I don't think that I'll order our food soon. I gave her cheek a soft kiss and felt how she relaxed under my touch. 

- I'll go to order our food. You can pick the movie, which we'll watch. 

Our pizza came after 45 minutes. I paid the delivery boy and walked back upstairs to see Chloe looking at her phone. I don't think that she noticed that I am in the room. I took her phone, which made her look at me. At least I got her attention. 

- Why did you do that?

- Because your phone was taking all your attention, which should be on me. 

- I had to do something while you were downstairs. Can you give it back to me?

- No. Now you are all mine. - I said and pulled her close

I need to stop doing this because I might give in before I ask her out, which shouldn't happen. We were staring at each other again. Chloe came close and I thought that she will kiss me, but she only took the pizza box from me. She laughed at my expression and started eating. I won't leave her like that, I took the slice from her hands and started tickling her. I will show her what is it like to be from the other side. Chloe was laughing and begging me to stop, but I didn't. Instead, I was tickling her more until I saw tears from her eyes. I thought that this was enough to teach her a lesson. 

- Now will you stop doing this?

 - As long as you don't tickle me. 

- Deal. 

Both of us were eating pizza and watching movies in bed. I never imagined that I will something so simple and that I will like it so much. Let's not forget that I have never spent proper time with a girl. Chloe is the first one who made me realize that the life, which I am living is not healthy for me. I wrapped my hand around her and gave her another slice. She looked at me with a smile and took it. Maybe this was what I need. Someone to show me the other side of things. 

Around 11 pm we decide to sleep. I would like to stay up late, but we have school tomorrow and I know that Chloe doesn't like to be late. I gave her some clothes and when she changed, she laid back down and snuggled. 

- Good night and sweet dreams.

- To you too Chloe. - I said and kissed the top of her head

Another day was spent with the girl that I like. I hope that she will accept to go out with me. I know that I am not the boy for that, but I really want to show her that I can change and I will do it only if she wants. Yes, I might not be the perfect boyfriend, but I will try everything to make her happy. I don't know how long we'll be able to keep this a secret. Soon or not someone might get suspicious. Let's hope that her friends won't leave her. Moreover, I don't see anything wrong to like someone. First, I want her to accept my invitation. Later I'll think about the consequences.
