The morning sun was reflecting it's Ray's on Maya's face maybe it's the fact that she has a serious headache or maybe she just doesn't have the strength to face her husband right now or she just seem to find comfort in the sunlight that's why she still has not gotten up from the bed it's past eight and yet she has not made a move on getting up from the bed "okay what plans do I have today go shopping for groceries, do laundry clean the house and....." Maya! James screamed her name outside her bedroom door while banging on it Maya groaned and got up from the bed " am coming " Maya walked to the door and opened it and was met with James angry face Maya was unfazed and thought of greeting him " good mornin...." sheet was immediately cut off " I don't care about your greetings why are you still in bed it's past eight my breakfast is not served yet my laundry is not done and why is the dishes not done and I told you to stop locking your door well answer him and don't stand there and look at me Maya was thinking of ways of punching him right across the face or slamming the door at his face but that would just earn her another beating and that she can't afford to get right now " I will be right down what do you want for breakfast " " just by looking at you I have lost my appetite I will be going to work now I won't back early so don't call me or disturb me " then he left Maya watched him as he walked away and when he was out of sight she sighed " I feel like poisoning him no he should suffer a very slow and painful death uh I should definitely start with the chores first .

After cleaning Maya went to the supermarket but decided to also go the mall to get some few clothes for herself her other clothes are beginning to worn out Maya went to shop`in mall which was one of the biggest mall in the city after getting there she went to the female clothes area and started picking some few clothes but she could not afford them " of course I can't I afford it it's not like my sweet husband gives me money he's a CEO of a reputed company but he's wife is like how should I put this in a nice way his slave I mean half of that company is basically mine no more than half but I can't even participate in the companies activities uhh this is frustrating I should definitely file for a divorce yes I should then I will sue him for domestic violence that is a nice plan " the others shoppers were no longer shopping but staring at her thinking why she was talking to herself one lady then walked to her " um excuse me miss her you okay why are talking to yourself do you like need help with something " Maya looked around and was surprised with the amount of people staring at her and the she realised that she was saying her thoughts out loud she became embarrassed and smiled timidly at the lady " no thank you I will be going now " while leaving the people were still staring at her in a weird way " great that must think am a weirdo " she suddenly bummed into someone Maya quickly apologized " oh sorry I didn't mean to hit you " the girl answered " it's fine " Maya looked at her and thought to herself wow she is pretty " are you sure " " am sure don't worry about it I have to go " "ok" the girl left " she's actually nice well I have nothing to do here let me leave " she got on the escalator "Jason " Maya turned back to know who shouted the name and saw that it was the same girl from earlier and she was waving at someone Maya turned to look at the person she was waving at and was met met with ocean blue eyes the man then turn away from her but Maya kept on looking at him until someone behind her tapped her that they have gotten to the end Maya gave way so the person could pass when she turned back she could not find him " they have gone I could not see his face who wears a face mask at a time like this but his eyes are nice though whatever I need to get home quickly " she left the mall and took a Taxi home she could see the blue house from afar which showed she was almost home then her phone rang and she checked the caller and saw it was her mom the taxi stopped in front of the blue two storey building she payed for the taxi and went inside when she got to her room her phone rang again and this time she picked it " hi Mom " " hello Maya " " Why did you call " " I cant call to check up on my daughter " " you can of course " " why weren't answering my calls or replying to my texts" how am I suppose to tell her James took my phone " um well you see my phone um it got broken " " broken?" " yeah you see I was um speaking on the phone and then my leg hit the bed it fell from my hand " that was believable right " Maya " yes mom " " you are lying " " what how would you know " " firstly am mom you grew up with me secondly you use the word 'um' too many times thirdly your lie doesn't even seem believable so am going to send an address and you are going to meet me there by two okay" " mom I can't " " why not and no dont use the 'am busy ' on me you are coming tomorrow and that's final" " wait mom i..." did she just hang up on me great what am I going to do now I hope James agrees I have hope right uhh this Is not good " then she fell on her bed .
