Kael’s POV I closed early and went straight home. The moment I entered the apartment, I knew something was wrong. Sienna was not on the couch in the living room where she usually stayed when she was trying to distract herself with television. I looked at the kitchen counter and saw the pancakes I had made for her before leaving. They were still there, untouched, and my chest tightened immediately.
