Marcus left without even waiting for me to speak. I watched him walk away and already knew I would scold him for that later. He worked for me, not Bianca. He should have waited for my instruction.
“What is with the attitude, Kael?” Bianca asked once Marcus was gone.
“I have no attitude, ma’am,” I replied. “I am just trying to keep this professional.”
