When we finally broke the kiss, I set her down and picked up the flowers and chocolates from the floor. I handed Sienna the flowers and one box of chocolate, then gave her the other box to hand to her friend.
“I want to shower,” I said.
I excused myself before my body embarrassed all of us.
Sienna linked me almost immediately, asking to join me. I wanted to say yes so badly that Leon pushed forward with enthusiastic agreement. But I declined and told her that her emotional friend would not handle the public display of affection well. Maya was already crying on the couch.
