The door scraped open, breaking me out of my philosophical reverie, almost making me jump in the process. The sounds of the party hit my ears like two frying pans. I whipped my head around and spotted Hunter’s head popping through the door. He searched around and when he caught sight of me, a relieved smile came across his face and his posture relaxed. I was unsure how I felt about seeing Hunter standing there (especially seeing how happy he was to see me). My feelings towards him still very much confused me, and they probably will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. But I couldn’t help but sense an annoyance at him because he was so friendly towards Tia. Which I understood was stupid, but these feelings somehow crept up on me. But it was impossible to stop my heart from soaring
