A gasp came from the back seat as Edith drove onto the school grounds. “What the?” Madison stared out the window in shock. There, in front of the doors of the school, were all her friends, Kyle, a ton of other kids, and teachers, waving and cheering. Some of them were even holding ‘Welcome Back’ signs.
“I think they missed you.” Edith turned back to look at Madison.
“Yeah.” Edith grabbed Madison’s walker as she got out of the car. When she got close to the group, they all surrounded her, and everyone was talking at once.
“Welcome Back.”
“We’re so glad you’re back.”
“How do you feel?”
“Great to see you.”
