I’d never known Nico’s late mate and wife, Carlotta, but he’d talked about her with so much love in his voice and sorrow in his eyes that I knew her untimely demise had wrecked him.
So the revelation that he had a second chance mate was quite exciting. Nico was an amazing person, and he deserved all the happiness in the world.
