Melissa looked at the door in bewilderment. She didn't know why all of a sudden, Michael had gotten up and left. Apparently, the noise of the door had also attracted Aiden's attention. "What was that?" he asked. "Nothing," Melissa replied absent-mindedly. "If you say so. I'll pick you up tomorrow. Be ready." "How do you–" Melissa started asking but Aiden had already put off the call. She sighed and dropped her phone. Then picked it up again. She dialled Michael's number but it was obvious that he was declining each and every of her calls. She put down the phone again and walked to the kitchen.
