CHAPTER FIVE

"To be honest, a part of me wants me to take revenge on Paul for taking advantage of my weak state," Isabella said. "But I am also scared. What if we get caught? What are we going to do?" she asked. "We won't, I promise," Clara assured her. "We can hire someone to do the job as soon as the contract is concluded and Paul has gotten his share from Samun's corporation," Clara said again. "Yeah, but we will have to share it with both Winona and Rose," Isabella said, alongside thinking. "What if, what if, she said, repeatedly as she got up. "What if what?" Clara asked curiously. "What if we frame Paul's death on Rose? That would make her not have any share in the money," she said. "I don't really mind sharing with Winona, but Rose? I can't," she said again as she shook her head. "Oh myyy, that might actually work out great. It will make them not want to invest in it more," Clara exclaimed. "Yeah yeah, " Isabella said. She praised herself for coming up with such an idea that everyone knew was unlike her. "It's still weeks till they will be done with their arrangements. What do we do in the meantime?" Isabella asked. "We have to find out who the father of Rose's baby is and also find a professional killer that would spice things up," Clara said. "OK, I'll deal with Rose, you look for the killer," she said. "Is that alright?" she asked. "Sure," Clara said, standing on her feet about to leave. "OK later," she said as Clara left her room. Rose woke up the next morning with the usual morning sickness. No matter how many times she had dealt with it, she could never get used to it. Saturday came so quickly. The day goes by with Isabella finding a way to get proof of Rose's pregnancy, Clara scheming how they would frame Rose, Winona planning her birthday which was coming soon, and Rose still being indecisive about what to do concerning her pregnancy. Micah and Lucy spent almost the entire day in the playroom trying to build the 'biggest tower' on their building block. Everyone was busy with one thing or the other. James has been so devastated since he lost Rose to Paul Samun. He has been looking for ways to get her back. His phone rang and he looked surprised when he saw the caller ID. "Hey, long time, why are you calling?" he said. "Why the rush dude," Henry responded, from the other side of the phone. "You're suddenly calling me after a long while, I am pretty sure you are calling because you've done something and are in a big mess," he said. "Hmm…. I was thinking you would be in need, but it seems like you already have everything you need," Henry said, about to end the call. James realized he may have sounded rude. "Sorry man, what happened?" he asked. " The man Rose got married to is Paul Samun, right?" Henry asked. "Yeah, is there any problem?" he asked. "Not really. That should be to your advantage," Henry answered. "Paul Samun's first and second wives want to terminate him. I received a call to do the job," Henry said. "Wow, but why do they want to kill him?" He asked, curious to know their reason. "I wasn't told about their motive, they only asked me if I could do the assignment," Henry answered. "And what did you tell them? Did you reject it?" He asked. "I accepted it, of course. Rich people are always willing to pay any amount to get a job done as long as it is without a trace," Henry replied. "Nice nice," he said repeatedly, feeling relief, as he sat down on the chair in his living room. "Thanks, man, I can finally get my girl back," he said with a smile on his face. "Good luck to you bro," Henry said as he broke off the call. James was so happy. His hope of getting Rose back came up. Rose, on the other hand, decided that she needed to run a hospital test to confirm if it was indeed true. She wasn't even sure if she had carried out the test with the strips in the right way. She didn't believe she was pregnant. Since Paul wasn't around she could meet Winona. "Good morning Winnie," she said as she sat by Winona. "Good morning Rose, " Winona greeted back. "Winnie, can I make a request?" she asked. "Sure," Winona answered with a sweet smile. "I've wanted to move outside the house, it's kind of lonely not going out. I'm really not used to this lifestyle," she said nervously. "Oh dear," Winona said. "Where do you wanna go?" Winona asked. "There's a small shop close to my parent's house. I usually visit the shop to help the workers and have fun with them. I really miss them," she said. "And I also wanna stop by the clinic, I think I've caught some fever," she added, shivering a little. "Okay dear, just let the driver know when you're ready. He will take you to your destination," Winona said. "Okay," she said with excitement inside of her. "Don't forget to take your maid with you," Winona said. "Ok, I won't. Thank you," she said as she stood on her feet. Rose swiftly called Helen and they left after a few minutes. On their way, Rose was thinking of a way she could distract the driver so that she could run a test. She had no problem telling Helen where she was really going. Luckily, there was a little hospital beside the shop, so she could just say that she wanted to run a malaria test. When they arrived at the shop, her and Helen stepped out while the driver remained in the car. They both went into the fruit shop. The owner of the shop was happy to see her, and because she looked more beautiful than before. Her skin was glowing. "Good afternoon Evelyn," she greeted as she ran to embrace an elderly woman. "Oh my daughter," Evelyn said as she embraced her back. "I have missed you so much," she said with a quivering voice. "I have missed you too, so much," Evelyn said.
