Chapter Forty-Four
“So right on track, I’m so excited to get to spoil these ones.” Abby said and I looked away. My heart felt full at the knowledge that she would treat me just the same as our other sister. The one that she’d grown up with, that she would love my babies just as she loved our nieces and nephew.
“How’s Annie doing?” I asked as the waitress brought us over our drinks.
“Oh, you know, new motherhood. She, Candy, and Stolas are all taking turns. Annie seems happier than I’ve ever seen her. Being a mom suits her.”
“That’s good.” I said, worrying the inside of my cheek with my teeth. I had been nervous for her, but I was glad to hear that she was doing well. I’d seen her the day she’d given birth to them. She’d been exhausted but glowing. The babies had been cute little bundle
