The One Who Resist

The music blasted thoughout the Le Baron, the most luxurious club in Avalon. There's a birthday celebration of one of the guest. Several girls dancing atop granite podiums with a very alluring outfit.

The centre of the club is the glittering pool, where guests can have their drinks by the pool. Some men and women in their swim suits enjoying their time inside the pool. Two couples played chicken fight.

Carl sat at the chaise lounge by the pool. It was his friend, Lauren, birthday party. He sipped his cocktail while looking around. Carl noticed some women keep on looking at him and smiled. Even it wasn't his party, but he was a party stealer. Anywhere he goes, all the attention goes to him.

A woman walked briskly towards Carl in her cute bikini. Carl continued to sip his drink while his eyes stayed on the woman. That blondie stopped in front of Carl and sat on his chair.

She crossed her long leg and leaned slightly towards Carl, where he can clearly see her cleavage. Carl shifted his eyes to the woman when she naughtily bite her lips.

Carl asked the woman to move closer. She scooped closer to Carl. Feels like she has scored a Jackpot.

Carl's finger traced the woman's body, from her arm moved down to her thigh. Carl smiled as his palm near that woman's entrance. Which woman can resist his charm? Sculpture face, chiseled abs. On top of that, he's a royalty. Set aside his badass attitude. Any woman who gets to grab his attention will be the luckiest woman in entire Avalon.

Carl never care to find true love. As long as he can get laid and satisfy his needs, he don't really care. Because for him, all woman are the same. They fall for him only for his outer appearance. What if he's not born with golden spoon? What if he's only a normal guy, attended college, get a normal job, ride a normal compact car?

While these two people enjoying their moment, a woman with long wavy hair, in her backless black dress, make her ways to them.

The guests who saw her, immediately recognise her. Charlotte Ries. A distance cousin of Carl and also his 'on paper' girlfriend. They always be seen together for any royal events. People always talked on how it was Charlotte who always clinged to Carl while he never had feelings for her.

When Charlotte stood next to them, she immediately grabbed the woman's hair, caused her to scream. Carl shocked with Charlotte's act but he just sit still. He knew Charlotte long enough on why he shouldn't get involved.

"You B**ch. Stay away from other people's man. A golddigger like you really deserves a beating" said Charlotte as she shoved that woman, caused her to fall on the floor. Charlotte grabbed that woman wedges and she hit the woman with that. Some guards ran to the scene to stop Charlotte. She's like a crazy woman. That blondie lied on the floor and thankfully still breathing. Just some bruises and wounds from Charlotte's beating.

Carl took his drink and leave the place. He felt the party was too boring. The whole club turned upside down with the fighting scene and he couldn't care less.

At the Avalon Golf & Country Club

Whoosh!

The bystander clapped their hands when Lara hit the ball by her swing.

"Nice shot Lara. I don't know you can play golf" said Allen, Lara's Senior Manager. Lara smiled.

"I used to follow my father when he went to golf range. But still I can't beat you" Allen laughed with Lara's remarks.

That day, Lara had to fill in for one of her manager, Darley, as he can't make it cause his son was sick. They played golf with one of their client. It's like one of many ways that some companies used to secure a project or tender. Currently, her company was trying to secure a tender on IT system of Avalon's new port. With them was the Director of Avalon Port Corporation, Mr Leon Wright.

Buzz! Buzz!

'I'm off today. What should we do?' Lara smiled when she read text from Daniel.

Allen noticed it and wanted to tease Lara.

"Your boyfriend? Wow, I knew it you will have one. All men in the office can finally move on" said Allen. Lara shyly smiled. She don't want to hide it that she had a boyfriend now.

After several rounds they headed back to the club to continue their discussion on tender. They sat at bar when a waitress took their order.

"So Mr Wright, our company is one of the top IT companies in Avalon. We also have several projects at Dubai and Australia. So we are experienced and qualified enough to be considered as your IT management team." Allen tried to final appealed to Mr Leon. Lara at the side nodded her head as form of agreement.

Mr Leon sipped his orange juice and did some thinking. He had to make a wise decision as it involved Avalon's largest port. Thousands even Millions of Avalon's economic sources will come through that port. Based on the discussion, he also convinced that PrimeTech meet all the requirements set by his company.

"Okay, meet me at my office, next Tuesday at 2 pm. We will officially signed the contract" said Mr Leon.

Lara and Allen sighed as they are relieved to hear that. Both of them shakes hand with Mr Leon before Mr Leon left.

"Congratulation Allen on your first secured tender" said Lara. She's proud of his achievement.

"Thanks to you Lara. I might be shaking out there if I was alone. Thanks for your time eventhough it's weekend" Allen can't said enough to thank Lara as she made it even she were told at the very last minute.

Allen offered to drive Lara home but she refused it cause she also drive her car there. They separated at the bar where Allen left first.

Lara headed to the washroom to wash her hands. She also fixed her make up as she will meet Daniel later. Thinking about Daniel always brings smile to her face. Daniel's responsibilities requires her to be tolerant and understanding since they are not like a normal couple that went to a normal date, meet almost everyday.

After finished, she went out when suddenly a man greeted her outside the washroom.

"My ability to recognise face never failed me. It is you" that man said.

Lara looked at the man and saw Carl's standing there while leaned at the wall. What he's doing there?

When Lara decided to ignore and walked pass Carl, Carl blocked the alley with his long leg. Lara looked at him in question.

Carl brought his leg down and move to face Lara. Carl just realised how small Lara was compared to his figure. He walked closer to Lara and makes Lara to take steps back until wall stopped her from doing so.

"Why don't you 'lecture' me just like how you did at the mall that day?" Carl keeps on walking towards Lara. There's a suspicious smile came from his lips.

He's here to play golf with his elite friends. When they were hanging out at the bar, he recognised a face, smiling with the other two men. He got an idea how to finally settled things with that woman.

That's why when Lara went to the bathroom, he waited outside for his 'surprise' and it worked.

Finally, Carl was stood in front of Lara, who stucked between himself and the wall. Lara tried to calm herself even her heart beating so fast. She afraid Carl will do anything to her. Suddenly all the rumors she heard comes to her mind.

Their eyes met when Carl stepped a step closer to Lara, closing the gap between them. Lara keeps her eyes wide opened to show she's not scared. She can't make Carl to feel that she's intimidated by his action.

"Let me show you what kind of manner I've learnt" said Carl in whisper mannered next to her right ear. His finger worked simultaneously as he whispered. The finger touched Lara's wrist, worked their ways up to Lara's arm. His touch can make any women shivered and enchanted. That's what Carl's believed. All women are the same. Including Lara.

Then, his hand moved to Lara's skirt end. He make his move slowly to entice Lara. No reaction from Lara. She kept their eyes in tact. Carl then touched Lara's smooth thigh skin.

'Damn, I'm the one who's getting hard. How her skin so silky smooth?'

When his hand finally reached Lara's shorts band, his hand stopped by Lara's remarks.

"Is this how you learned your manner? Stripping down a woman, before you know her name? I must said, your manner teacher's sucks" said Lara with no hesitation.

Carl distanced himself from Lara. He can't believed his ears. This petite woman literally challenged him. His pride being thrown away by Lara out of window.

Lara walked away, tried to make it looked calm, unlike her fast beating heart. She can't imagined what Carl will do to her if she just stood still. Thank God her conciousness worked perfectly that day.

Carl still stand there, being shooked by Lara. Like a big hand just slapped him right on his face. Second time being embarassed by Lara. That woman was different. She's not an easy target.

'Who are you? Why you can resist me?' Carl questioned himself.
