Price To Be Paid
Daniel was on the watch near Miranda's house. He frequently parked his car near the house to wait and watch Miranda's movement. He knew Miranda noticed his presence there but she tended to ignore him. That day, as usual, Daniel stayed inside the car. Miranda already went out from her house that morning. When he was looking around, he noticed the door was opened from inside. So far, no one was seen going in or out the house except for Miranda. Daniel saw an old women, who's supported herself with a cane, went out from the house. "She must be her mother..." thought Daniel. He just look at her from afar. That old women was going back and forth between the house and a shed near the house, carried logs. Seeing her struggle to carry those logs one by one, Daniel decided to help her. D
