Unforeseen Danger

A glass shattered on the floor after smashed at the wall. Carl released a pent-up breath. His hand held himself on the table.

A guy in suit nervously stood still, waiting for Carl's words.

"How can he be there? I told you to keep eyes on him" Carl's voice was so loud, so thunderous, that the man in front of flinched a bit. He's afraid Carl will throw things again.

"I was told that he was promised for a special leave when he won the combat competition" The man calmly reported to Carl with his voice shaking a bit. He gulped his saliva.

Carl balled his fingers to a fist and drove them down the table. A boiling fury's burning inside him.

"That stupid competition..." Carl huffed.

He was furious when he saw Daniel walked into Lara's studio building when he parked outside.

Carl wanted to see Lara by planning a surprise encounter with Lara. He knew today was Lara's birthday. Maybe he can make a score on Lara. However with Daniel's sudden appearance at the studio blew off everything.

"How long he'll be here for?" Carl needed to know that.

"I was informed it was for a week" that man explained.

'A week? It's fine then...'

Carl's eyes narrowed and teeth clenched together.

Lara and Daniel visited Lara's parents at Buckle Town. Lara was excited to show this surprise to her parents.

Lara opened the door and called her parents.

"Mom, Dad... Look who's here..." Lara excitedly stomping her feet as she can't wait to see their reactions when they see Daniel.

Mr and Mrs Becker down the stairs when they heard Lara's called them and up to Lara's expectation, they were genuinely surprised to see Daniel there.

Steven shakes hand with Daniel. He still can't believe his eyes. Madison too, when Daniel greeted her, she touched Daniel's face to make sure it's really him. Lara chuckled with her parents' reaction.

They sat on the couch at living room. Lara sat besides Daniel.

"What happened? Lara told us you won't be here" Steven asked in confusion.

Daniel smiled at Lara and looked at Steven and Madison.

"I requested for a special leave for a week. I can't missed Lara's birthday" said Daniel while holding Lara's hand inside his.

After an hours of chatting including lunch, both of them excused themselves to go to Linda's.

It's been a week and the time had arrived for Daniel to return back to London. Lara wanted to see Daniel at the airport but Daniel refused it.

He said his goodbye with a kissed on Lara's forehead.

It's easier than before but still hurt.

Lara waved at Daniel when he hopped on taxi and leave. She wished Daniel can be there longer but responsibilty's matter.

Daniel turned to look at Lara when he leave. He can see Lara walked into the building.

However, his eyes noticed a man inside a black car, parked outside the building. He was seen with a camera, directed towards Lara. Daniel analysed the car and he believed it's from the palace.

Daniel tried to find the reasons why palace sent people to stalk Lara but he found none. He's afraid if it's related about their relationship. He's worried something might happen to Lara but he brushed it off and prayed there's nothing bad happened to Lara.
