While the females of the species decided what toppings to get, Marius and I went out on the back porch, the cool evening air wonderful on our skin. I hugged him to my side, breathing in the scent of him as we stared together at the stars above us. “Happy, love?” I asked, resting my head on his shoulder. “More than I ever thought I could be.” He wrapped his arm around my waist and rested his head on mine, both of us enjoying each other and reflecting on all the things that had brought us to this point.
