Drew’s expression became completely unreadable. Noah became worried immediately. He reached up and cradled her face in his hands, keeping himself from laying flat on top of her by bending his knees. He was actually scared to know what she might say. His stomach knotted up, he unfortunately knew that her reaction wasn’t going to be a particularly positive one. Finally, Drew’s face screwed up in confusion. Noah tilted his head slightly and rubbed her cheeks in circles with his thumbs, trying to soothe away her pains. “Listen to me, Drew.”  He whispered. “You are the daughter of Helios and Selene.” He hesitated, then got off her and laid himself down on the bed next to her. He reached down and slid his fingers through hers, holding her hand tightly. Drew merely turned her head to look at him, her brows started to furrow together and she let out a small sigh. “And how would you know?” She asked quietly. Noah let out a heavy sigh. He shifted and pulled Drew into his body, deciding then and there that he wouldn’t ever let her go. He rested his forehead on his and took a deep breath. “If you promise to listen to me… and not reject me right now…” He pleaded a little softly. Drew looked up at his face, She brushed her nose against his, her eyes fluttered closed at the sparks spreading from every place their skin touched. “I won’t.” She whispered weakly. Noah took a deep breath. He moved to sit up on his bed and pulled her onto his lap. He smiled and laced their fingers together. “There are packs, they are considered barbaric, not nearly as much as rogues, but they are considered barbaric nonetheless.” Noah started, he felt Drew tense slightly. “These packs worship the sun, not the moon.” He continued, he gently caressed her bare knee, then buried his nose into her neck and inhaled her scent. “These packs live mainly along the Equator, they are generally those who have chosen to live in barren desserts, but they live in heated places, places where the sun is closest to the Earth.” He lifted up Drew’s hand and kissed her palm. “Helios is the god they worship, he is the sun god.” He murmured. “These packs do not recognize my father as their king, as we worship Selene, the moon goddess.” He let out a soft sigh and pulled her a little closer. “However, there was a myth, or what we thought was a myth, that there would be a queen of wolves who would unite the two factions, creating a unity that would last forever. This queen would be the Wolf of the Sun. Daughter of Helios.” This caused Drew to shift now. She turned her head to look up at Noah. Her eyes softened slightly. “I’d like to know....” She trailed off as she looked lost in thought. “How exactly do you know I am Selene’s daughter though?” She asked softly. She admittedly, hadn’t been well versed in the goddess or anything. She had been banned from pack meetings and the pack library back home - she didn’t really know much other than the pack worshiped a moon goddess, no, correction, THE moon goddess.  Noah chuckled. He looked down at her then c****d his head slightly to the side. “Selene has hair as silver as the moon, her eyes match, her complexion pale - it’s written in all the books…” He paused, brows furrowed, “Drew, no one ever taught you about the gods and goddesses?” He asked softly. And Drew shook her head no. Noah let out a low, guttural growl. He clearly disapproved of that strongly. He would rectify that. But he had something else on his mind. He leaned down and brushed his nose to Drew’s.  “Can I kiss you?” He whispered. There was hesitation, Drew seemed uneasy about the idea, but then she nodded her head slightly. Noah started to lean forward, Drew had switched positions; she was now straddling his lap. She started to lean forward as well. She could feel Noah’s breath fan her face, and her body shivered, much to her chagrin. She brought her hands up and placed them on his cheeks, feeling the electrical current shock her from wherever she touched him. It felt like an eternity but it was probably only a few seconds, their lips came close to touching, Drew felt her head explode with colors and they hadn’t even kissed yet. A searing, terrible pain overcame her and she let out a scream, falling off the bed onto the floor. Drew’s body jerked and twitched, she convulsed and her eyes rolled back. She shook like she was having a seizure. Noah launched himself off the bed and grabbed her head to stabilize it. He looked down at her and held onto her as tight as he could. “s**t, what happened?” He whispered, worry spreading across his face. This was starting to truly scare him.
