“Will she be safe?” A silver haired woman asked softly, while standing on the beach just behind the grand palace. Her silver eyes flickered over to the golden haired man next to her.  Both could only be described as perfection.  The man’s skin was a golden tan, his body sculpted with perfect muscles. He had golden brown eyes. He stood at well over six feet tall and hadn’t an ounce of fat on his body. He had a sharp jaw, with a dimpled chin. He looked like the epitome of strength. The woman’s skin was pale, as though she spent no time in the sun. Her eyes and hair were a glittery, shiny silver. Her face shape was much softer, rounder. Her eyes carried a gentleness and her brows were the only sharp defined thing on her. She was dressed in a long white cascading dress whilst the man was in khaki pants and nothing else. The two were intently eyeing the palace. There was an uncomfortable silence between the two of them before the man spoke up. “Selene, she is our daughter, blessed by the Zeus. She is Eos reborn.” A mournful look came over the man’s face. Their sister had been killed in one of the many fights that erupted between the gods and the titans. He closed his eyes for a moment, then turned to his beloved sister. “She will strengthen your children, our children.” He kissed Selene’s forehead. Selene relented, looking away longingly. “Helios, do you think she will be alright? In this war?” She visibly flinched. “Alastor and his children will be waging a strong war against ours.” She stared down at the ground, unable to stop the trembling of her lower lip; fear crept through her and overtook her. Helios let out a soft sigh. He took his beloved’s face in his hands and tilted her chin up. “Arianthe will be fine.” He murmured. “She will kill the king of the vampires, and end this feud once and for all.” He pressed his forehead to Selene’s, then he smiled. “It was time to awaken her powers, you know that.” He added softly. Selene seemed reluctant. She then sighed and nodded her head. “ I must return to my… throne.” She looked up at Helios, then leaned up and kissed him lovingly. “I will miss you, until we can see each other again. Protect her when it’s your time, as I will when it’s mine.” She disappeared slowly into a mist. Helios turned his attention to the palace. He nodded slowly before walking towards the doors; his clothing changed instantly into a tan-golden suit. His gold blonde hair was slicked back and he looked every bit a professional. He came to a stop at the door of the throne room. He cleared his throat and then stepped inside, not bothering to knock or anything. “Rian.” Helios announced in a booming voice. All of the king’s advisors, who had been in the  middle of having a meeting with him, went silent. Their heads turned and their eyes trained on the intruder. They did look shocked that someone would be so disrespectful to the king. The king, however, smiled. He stood from his throne and waved a hand. “Leave us.” He called loudly. His advisors seemed reluctant at first, but then they carefully scurried out of the room, passing Helios by tentatively. The last to leave was a young female wolf. She stopped before Helios and bowed her head. “My king.” She murmured to Helios. She lifted her head to look at his face, relieved to see his smile. “Saoirse.” Helios nodded to her. He smiled and brought his hand up to rest it on her shoulder. “You are doing a fine job.” He murmured so only she could hear. Saoirse was a wolf of the sun, she hailed from an American desert pack that worshipped him. She was the Alpha of the pack’s daughter. Helios had bestowed upon her the job of protecting his daughter. She was Drew - or well - Arianthe’s bodyguard. It was a conversation that Helios had previously had with the Wolf King. He pulled his hand away from her shoulder and he nodded, telling her she was dismissed. The Wolf King stepped down from his throne and walked towards Helios, he stopped halfway, then put his right hand across his chest and rested it on his shoulder before bowing to Helios; his sign of absolute respect. “You and Selene have released her gift?” The King asked softly. Helios nodded. “We had always determined that once she found her mate and they accepted each other, the gift would release. There is no need for her to remain in the shadows further.” King Rian let out a soft sound that seemed awfully relieved. “And did you know Aphrodite had blessed your daughter with my son as her mate?” Helios chuckled. He shrugged his shoulders casually. “Yes. When I finally did find her. Had I not needed to be blind from who she was whilst she grew up, I would have known and contacted you sooner.” Helios grimaced. Arianthe, which was her birth name, was hidden from Helios because the god of evil, Alastor, had been tampering with him, trying to force him to tell him where the vampire slayer was. It was for Arianthe’s own safety. Helios had hated it, but there had been no other choice. He was just happy he could be there now. His daughter, a werewolf who was a goddess of the dawn. “I must ask…” Helios trailed off mid sentence, then turned his attention to Rian. “Have you told her her true name?” He asked quietly. Because he knew that bastard who had abused her and neglected her most of her life had named her Drew, which was utterly ridiculous to him. The king shook his head. “No. Right now she and my son are… preoccupied. However, I will tell her.” He paused for a moment, then he looked Helios in the eyes. “Stay, and meet her.” He said it in a sort of begging way. Helios chuckled. “You act as if I wasn’t going to meet my beautiful daughter today.” He teased. The doors to the throne room opened. Both men turned and Helios nearly lost all his breath at the sight.
