Author’s Note
This story actually turned up in a dream, more or less—at least the imagery did! And I couldn’t resist writing it down. I also love Athena’s willing submission here: the profound joy, stillness, sweetness at being good for her beloved. The finished sculpture will be a success, of course…and they’ll smile every time they see it.
