"I'm sorry, it's difficult to find signal here. So, what do you think, Doc?" Collin gave his full attention to the person from the other line while his eyes were fixed to the woman who was busy enjoying the view from the gallery deck. He first contacted his Family Doctor even before he sent Rosette in the island. He had some suspicions about her from the first time he noticed her slipping something into her shoulder bag. Confronting her never came in his mind until earlier, when he saw the contents of her luggage. "I think you are right, Mr. Sardovia. Based on what you perceived in her actions, your girlfriend may has an onset kleptomania," the doctor confirmed. "There are factors responsible for this mental health condition. It is not a character flaw so you have to approach your loved one without blaming or accusing her," she added. A scene flashed in his mind. Collin was not able to dodge the attack and it passed through his heart. He felt guilty of accusing his girlfriend when he remembered his first reaction. "Kleptomania is a rare condition. BUT... it is more common in women, especially in teens and sometimes in adults too. She needs to seek a Psychotherapist if she wants to control her urges, or else, it will control her," the doctor explained. "Does she need to be tested or anything?" he asked. He showed his fore and middle fingers to Rosette, signalling her that he only needs two minutes more. "I think we should talk about that in person, as soon as possible, Mr. Sardovia. And don't forget to bring her next time. It's important that we know what factor had caused her mental condition." "Yes, Doc. Thank you. And please, don't ever text or call this number. It's not mine." He watched as Rosette moved to climb up to the lantern room in the lighthouse. "Are you done?" Rosette asked. Collin dropped the call and smiled at his girl as he handed her phone. "Thanks, babe." "Don't mention it. Shall we go home now babe? It's already two o'clock. I have something to do before it strikes six." "Sure, wait." Collin picked up the basket and held her hand to support her while stepping down the stairs. At the hostel, Collin had to return the things they borrowed from Sally. He washed first the utensils and dried them before handling it to Sally. It took him half an hour to do it. "What did you do in there?" Collin shifted his gaze from Rosette and to the door at her back. He clenched his fist upon seeing a guy inside the room, where Rosette came from. His rage heated up. "Do I have to repeat it?" His voice deepened as he looked back again. "Who is he?" Rosette took a few big steps and dragged him, almost running, to her room. He went with flow instead of forcing her to answer. "How did he get there?" Rosette mumbled when they entered the room. She ran her fingers through her hair and gripped them. "What are you saying?" Collin grabbed her arm and forcibly turned her to face him. "Who is he and what did you two do there?" he asked, almost like a shout. Scared of being fooled by the one he love. They argued. Next thing he did, he left Rosette and went to the guy's room. Collin knocked loudly. He leaned his other arm on the brace to support his body while waiting for the person inside to open the door. "Who is it?" A white-eyed young man appeared in his sight. Collin froze for a moment as he stared the colorless eyeballs of Anthony. "May I come in?" he asked. Anthony did not respond but he widened the opening of the door. "Who are you, by the way?" "I am Rosette's boyfriend. I'm sure you know her?" Collin walked to the closest chair he found and sat on it. He watched as Anthony struggled to find his way. "Yes. She visited me often." Anthony smirked. It boiled his temper and Collin almost gave him a punch on his smug face. If not only for his disability, Collin would never hold back. "She even stole one of my pieces," Anthony added while touching the chair in front of him. His jaw tightened. Hearing Anthony saying bad words to his girl had forced him to let out his ugly side. "How did you know? You can't even see." Collin scorned. "I know her scent," Anthony said as he sat. "Not because I can not see a thing that would mean as well that I lack in other senses. I could hear your footsteps ahead before you could even knock. And I can tell if someone is in my room even from a distance in just a snap. See, Mister? I am not a totally disabled man." "So, how long do you want to keep your secret?" Collin crossed his arms as he leaned his back. He observed Anthony's reaction to his question. "What secret? I do not know what you are talking about, Mister." Anthony's pale lips stretched to his ears when he chuckled. "I can smell too," Collin confidently took a hold of their conversation and it silenced the person he was talking to. "Is there anyone who knows about it? Or am I the first?" he asked as if he was sure of his suspicion. "I do not have a secret. Please leave if you have nothing to say," Anthony firmly said. And kept on playing with his fingers. "I have." Collin changed his position and leaned in front with elbows on his thighs, supporting his body. "I wan't to clarify this to you... Rozi is not a theft. Keep that in mind. And of course, keep away from her." "You should tell that to her. It's not as if I visited Rosette in her room. This is my room, Mister. And she often comes in with or without my permission." Anthony smiled and he looked innocent in it. Collin hated the way Anthony hid the real him. He uses words that could deceive anyone and acted like an angel, but Collin could see how eager he is to fight back. "She won't come here again. I'll assure you that." Collin stood up, ready to leave. "So, keep your word and don't come near us." Anthony remained silent. Not a word came out from his mouth. So, Collin started walking. "And stop hiding in the dark," Collin added when he was about to open the door.
